Back when mobile games were genuinely good. Nowadays it's all about the money. This era we got games like Blockheads, NOVA, Dead Trigger, Infinity Blade and Pixel Gun
A lot of mobile games like nova and modern combat were impressive for it's time. Nowadays mobile games won't be able to reach the same level as it had in the past.
@@shallows529let's be honest, companies will only go with what gives the most money, it's either online micro transaction games or gacha games, besides the main focus of mobile games are casual community (although, the competitive community lies in battle royale games or MOBAs.
Dead Trigger??? The iPod touch game of my childhood? How could I have forgotten you? And casually mentioning SHADOWGUN?!? Gears of War mobile???? I haven’t thought about these games in years. Mobile games were truly on another level back then
Before the oversaturation of the whole mobile gaming market, before gacha games took over, before Gameloft's downfall, and before mobile gaming focused on the competitive side. This was the golden age of mobile gaming. Used to play this on the iPad back in the day racking up arena points. If anyone still even remembers there was a Facebook port for Dead Trigger 2 on pc which i played the shit out of back then. Good times.
Yoooo Game Loft made some fire ass games back in the day I believe there were up there like top 10 developers for games. I hated when they removed game center
Old dead trigger 2 graphics used to be better with the water and light reflections There would also be blood particles that appear on your screen when a zombie spits acid that you can literally wipe to clear it out easily
i definitely have more fond memories of the sequel (which btw subbed so i can tune in on the next video) but the first dead trigger does hold some good nostalgia with lil ol me not understanding english at all and having no idea how the story goes. great video!
Back when Mobile Games got PC/Console quality games, now the play store flooded with anime gachas and sweaty competitive games like Mobile legends,CODM,PUBGM and Free Fire
I am baffled there's no single player open world or adventure games that feels like modded pubg or free fire. I mean Genshin and WuWa is open world, but I want standard fps equipment
I used to play Dead Trigger 2 on Facebook along side UberStrike my uncle introduce me into it and I remember the free stock weapon around the building map before it was removed and the original Machinegun before it was replaced by Machinegun with futuristic skin.
This game was a core of my childhood, and it was surprisingly extremely high quality for a mobile game. It also served as a catalyst for me to discover other masterpieces such as the dying light franchise. I am forever thankful for the existence of this game.
i still remember doing a glitch which you can being on top on zombies and they cannot hurting you unless you moving you character. this is a classic really.
oh i do remember. i remember i took the free gold bars from the main missions, saved my progress in the cloud and spent them all on the slot machine, if i ran out before hitting the jackpot i'd reload my cloud save and go at it again, repeated ad nauseam until i could afford every gun in the game
I always thought that after the first game our protag decided its time to extend his searching to the entire world and his skills to help the resistance, thus our folks at new hope are still alive, just not mentioned again.
I love playing this game when I was younger, but for some reason nowadays if I try playing it it crashes probably because of my phone or because the game is too old
Awesome video, I've been revisiting this game recently and it really is one of the best mobile games out there, I'm glad other people still remember it too
They already got the graphics, mechanics and the gameplay right, i wonder what limited their freedom to explore towards making a full fledged missions instead of doing sub par repetitive point a-b types of chores. It doesnt need to be an open world take old resi games for example completing mission inside the police station.
This video brought back memories of Shadowgun Deadzone. I started playing that on facebook and got addicted to it. Found dead trigger and completed it too. Such good days :')
I used to play this so much around 2012-2015. I'm not that old so I was still a child around that time but damn I still vividly remember playing this on my old ipad lol, its also surprising realizing that this game came out on my birthday too, huh
i liked the zombie game where you’re just straight up running in first person the whole time picking up weapons till you run into enough zombies and lose
i never really understood dead triggers story, i was only like 8 playing this game and just thought i was going around and shooting zombies for no reason. this was very intresting to me.
The Double Barrel and the Elephant Rifle were so OP. I know a ton of out of map glitches too. An easy way to get out of some maps is to walk backwards into ledges or items like crates, chairs, barriers, etc. When do you this, your character will hop up a little, letting you climb stuff and get out of the map🫡
Yes do i still remember playing this on my tablet back then spending so many hours playing arena mode and campaign, and the sequel also which is the dead trigger2 are also great playing it too in middle summer of 2014 which is the setting take place in africa's capital Capetown. And yeah i hope they will make a sequel of this game in the future
i remember getting to finally play this in my old s2 galaxy. it waa just completely mindblowing how something like this was able to run and look good in my phone. sure it was repetitive and grindy. but damn, it's miles ahead of its time.
In terms of mobile gaming, this game was ahead of it's time. It was the only zombie shooter that you could move and interact with and had a very small size in terms of memory , other mobile games were basically you standing there and just shooting. I have lots of memories with this game.
I remember playing Dead Trigger 2, and it was a level set in a mine/cave complex. The boss on that level scared me so much I ran out of the mines to get away. I remember when I turned out, there it was running out after me.
some people remember it as a mobile game, and some of us actually remembered it in a facebook game. i used to play this a lot when i was a teenager. im getting old.. time passes fast my friends. who else played this on facebook?
I was just a middle schooler when Android phones started to get popular and accessible to almost everyone, and that was when I'm still a scaredy little baby, Along with NOVA this is one of my very few experience playing fps games, not to mention horror themed, I remember playing dead trigger with shaky hands and pausing everytime. It was stupid thinking back on it. But this game helped me grew interest in zombie games, until eventually I cured my fears of zombies thanks to Left 4 Dead 2. MIddle schooler me says Thank you madfinger, atleast to the old you lol.
I remember it was easy to get modded saves so you had all weapons unlocked, great times. I also remember being disappointed by the second game since they changed a bunch of stuff, so it wasn't as fun to play.
I remember this game, in my opinion due to the quality of the game and the year it came out, to say that it was beautiful and well made is an understatement! At times it doesn't even feel like a mobile game if you remove the HUD
Of course I remember! I still play till this day as well as Dead Trigger 2, I love both these games sooo much. They were the first games I played when I got my very first phone the iphone5c

Try Extinction: Zombie Invasion, good underrated zombie game 👌
No u needed real money for later blueprints which were necessary for progressing.
Nah bro, the devs were greedy af
Shoutout to game loft, they carried the mobile games era.
@@MGrey-qb5xz But the game itself was good and playable, current games look like a low quality pre-alpha with false advertising and tons of ads

seeing this video title was a slap of nostalgia to the face. then seeing "SHADOWGUN" within the video was another. man i miss these games.
Oh how I miss Shadowgun Deadzone, always makes me sad when I think about it. Hope they do a reboot of it like they are with Call of Mini.
