- You may hear a whining noise when you drive your car, and this noise is cause by the Power Steering when you turn the car left or right. You may also see the air forming in the Power steering oil reservoir. After a short while the oil will leak out from the top.

You would hear a whining noise hnnnnnnnn!! lol
LOL
Nyahahaha
What is the diameter of the suction hose that goes from the power steering tank to the steering pump in a 2003 honda civic?
DUDE-I wanted to HEAR the noise, not you imitating it
it sounds like a mini turbo. winds up as you keep turning. that's the air pressing through the power steering out of a leak in the system. if you go in a straight line for a half mile or so the noise goes away.
if my power steering system are leaking what are the most economical to do???can it fixed it without replacing my whole power steering system???
Hey bud, thanks for your video. My Civic PS is hard and I suspect the PS pump. The thing is that the PS pump makes absolutely NO noise, silent as ever but the steering is very stiff. Could the pump fail and not make a sound? What do you think?
It is possible that you are just low on PS fluid. Check that first, *then* suspect the pump itself.
does it vibrate as well?
Is ur rack
When you say top of with oil, you mean power steering fluid ?
Yes
Hey, thank you very much for the helpful video. But I have another problem in the power steering. When I want to turn right or left, there is a noise in the power steering like: tegh tegh tegh ... could you please let me know what the noise is and how I can repair it. Best regards
Here are something you could check:
- Bad Power Steering Pump
- Loose Steering Belt
- Worn-out Pump Bearings
- Low Levels of Power Steering Fluid

My 07 civic power steering is leaking fluid what should I do?
hey my car does the same noise when I start it and when I accelerate. but not when I turn the steering wheel. its a 2005 honda accord euro. what should I do first should I replace the o ring ?
In my case, I didn't need to replace the O ring. I bought it and was prepare to install, but then I thought I just fill up and fluid and see what happen, and suddenly all the noises went away, and had no more problem.
Free Repair Guide yea I actually changed the o ring and the noise was still there so what should I do ?
Do you still see the bubble still coming out from the top?
Free Repair Guide no no bubbles
Free Repair Guide when i have buble the problem was the bearing the air coming in from the bearing gasket was busted. so things like this look for the air leaking. bubble means air right so it means something air leaking. it could be the O ring or Tomthing in the bearing. if u hear a clank clank clank or any metal noise then u have to change the whole pump if u have only whining noise or bubbling uhave a lucky day u only have to look for air leaking
Hi... I have honda civic 2010.
Whenever i start the car in the morning and put reverse gear on and turn the steering it makes a whining noise..
And when the car is in speed of 40 to 60 km/h it makes the same noise and i feel vibration in the steering and i also feel some hardness in the steering...
Can u guide me what it could be???
Abdul Qayum ok abs I’m not no pro, but I literally just changed the power steering belt on my O3 civic yesterday and it wasn’t until after I changed it that it started to whine on me,
I looked into the power steering reservoir and it was super low almost empty, so that was my culprit right there. I would recommendfirst things first is check your power steering belt for cracks and then the reservoir for fullness. Good luck my brother.
You need to get your steering pump hose checked/Steering pump. It might have a leak. The purpose of the steering pump is to smooth the hydraulic fluid in it with respect to the engine's speed. If it's not working then your steering is deemed to experience hardness and vibrations.
How did you get all the bubbles clear?
Ahmad Syafiq Aizat Mohd Put more oil seem to fix everything and no more whiny noises and no more bubble.
+Free Repair Guide Oil or power steering fluid?
+J.R Paiva Power steering fluid is a type of oil. But yes do NOT put engine oil in your power steering reservoir... EVER

Bad o ring that needs to be replaced.
just replace o ring and noise is gone ?
that happens to my car too and when i accelerate. Why does it happen when i accelerate too???
+MrGabys91 Yea, i just brought my car to the mechanic today about it and its the power steering pump
The pump is belt driven by the engine.
ok my car was crashed in to .. I drove it home .. the power steering resivor was bubleing like crazy and melted itself .. I then replaced resevoir and power steering pump and flushed it all out ... now its still makeing that noise ... u think it could be the rack and pinion ... ??? the car hit me on the left tire front tire side ...
Hey.. same problem here.. what did you do then
a bad o ring make that noise ??
Oswald Martins a bad o ring can cause that noise. which causes air to go in the power steering system. cause the fluid in the resovoir to bubble.
thanks bro, the reservoir has many bubbles..
Oswald Martins no problem
Skol Boi shit and how much is that fix ?
I can tell from you accent your favorite game is tat lon!!! Am I right?!!
