I lost my soulmate 10 years ago and ever since she passed every time I hear this I cry. It's a great song.
It's was 10 yrs on Feb 18 since I lost my wife, I can really identify with this song
I loved this song when it came out and it still holds up.
Grief never goes away...nor the love for the one we lost...
this is a very sweet, very sad song, and it has literally been decades since i have heard it anywhere. thank you.
It's a wonderful thing to be lovestruck...so smitten with someone that it lasts a lifetime... inspiring an undying devotion to that someone though passed away...comfort to be found still in the traditions they had as a couple.
I hadn’t heard this song since probably the 70’s. Thanks for the memories!
I had forgotten about this one but it's always a great listen
Such a pretty song. They sure knew how to right Tear jerkers in the old days
Honey by Bobby Goldsboro?, Teddy Bear by Red Sovine, Last Song by Edward Bear?
Loved this when it came out and still love it now...
This is a sweet song, with heartfelt lyrics. This has a special feel to it. I understand Jud died tragically in an air accident , so sad.
Such a sweet, beautiful song!! 😊
Wow. Never seen you get this emotional over a song. It’s all good 👍
Lovely Angela. My mother really likes this song.
Although I was old enough to remember this song, the only time I ever heard it was probably in the early 90s on a oldies radio station where they counted down the top 40 songs from that week 20 some odd years earlier. I've never heard it again until today but I totally remembered the story and how it ended.
You ol' softie you. Hugs from me.
Never heard this before. Was 6 when it came out. The person who called it a ditty is correct. It is a sweet song
This type of song is known as a "ditty". They're simple little songs that are easy to learn and to sing. They're not really the kind of songs that I keep in my playlist though.
your awesome person ty
Honesty and heartfelt emotion. Where is that in today's music? I'm sure it is out there, but it seems to get squeezed out of the public's consciousness...
Never heard of this song or artist, and I know a bit about 20th century music, so...I'm going to listen.
Most banjo songs make you cry but for other reasons (just kidding). Haven't listened to this in years. Thanks. Lost my mom last year so I had a tear here.
Angela, you have such a sweet, romantic soul. Thank you.❤
