And one great recognizable voice. Billy Joel has class. Just the Way you Are by Billy Joel Won 2 Grammys record of the year and song of the year for 1978, award in 1979. For this song to have this affect on you some 43-44 year later speaks for itself and for Billy Joel.

To me, some of his songs capture the essence of New York City, especially the sax solos. New York State of Mind would be one obviously, this one, and a couple of others from his early career.

For me the late 70's (77, 78, 79) and the early 80's (80,81) were simply the best year's for music..miss those days very much!!
