Thanks for the Great update!!! I have on my Arsenal the Mir lenses... Amazingly imago and Character!!! I'm looking for this glass many many years!!! Thanks so much for sharing your work!!!
I have the latest version (mine is Nikon mount). Only difference is how it looks. Bought it around 5 years ago brand new from eBay. I believe they were around $150 back then.
Having trouble with the lens blades staying wide open? I removed the pin and lever, and solutions ? Feel free to drop a social media account so I can send a video or photographs, thank you for your time
Hi, do you remember the brand of the adapter you use? Because I'm having issues focusing to infinity, and I can't understend if the problem is the adapter or maybe the lens itself. Thanks :)
Not specifically I just love vintage lenses, have a load of 50mm, a couple of 35mm one 85, some 135 a 200mm… so looking at a wide angle to finish the collection. Love a wide angle prime to add to the collection
@@RandomLifeProductions Which of your current vintage ones is your fave? And yea the Zenitar is really wide, although it is a fish-eye essentially so there's the distortion involved
My current favourite Carl Zeiss Jena 35 f2.8 and the Pentax Takumar 50mm 1.4 … plus the Konica Hexinon 50 1.4 now this one is cheap but lovely photo quality
Really good review, thanks! I was wondering, is the grain of the example footage part of the lens' character or was it added with the Century8 LUT? 'Cause I love the lens look, but that would be a bit too much noise for my type of use.
Thanks Ricardo! The noise is not from the lens, it's grain added in post to get a more stylized look. I can maybe share a clean REC.709 frame for you to see if you want, let me know
they are not vintage. Zenitar MC16 are from 90s. And the point is that you can buy three (as many as you like) of them and all three will be different (some times it's very obvious difference).
hey, quick question, how is the fisheye aspect on an apsc, how do the curves look like? im looking for an ultrawide vi ntage lens, any recomendations? i have apsc so x1.5 ;) any 16-20 lenses?

Thanks for the video, but how are you focusing, footage looks like it’s on auto focus?
Awesome, what speedbooster do you use for the GH5?
Thank you!
I'm using Metabones 0,7x
Loved it, the lens looks great for its price
אני מצלם הרבה שנים. והשתמשתי בעדשה הזאת יותר מאשרים שנים. מאוד ממליץ.
Отличный объектив!
Perfect lens ! Have a good day!(Read with Russian accent) 😂
Haha
Have a fantastic week!

Thank you for the review! Nice sequence with the painters )
Thank you Daniel :)
That sequence is part of.a short branded thingy I'm working on

Oh I am interested in this one… so this review useful
I love this lens! I think you should get it :)
Is it for a specific shoot you have in mind?

@@RandomLifeProductions I've been wanting to try out both the Zeiss Jena and the Takumar for a while now
dig that vintage effect
I'd love to pick this lens up but it's pretty hefty price tag for a vintage lense right now
How much is it going for?

@@YuvalAloni Oh ok, thanks again! Don't worry, I got it from your response, but thanks for the possibility. Keep up the good work mate! ^^
So if used the 8 mm zenitar to the s35 sensor, would become a 12 mm fisheye?
Sort of, yea
It’s really wide with distortion, not super fish-eye tho
Love!
I had it and i hate it it.. Maybe on super crop is usable
What kind of nd filter do you use on this lens and how do you attach it?
I have it and can't find a step up ring for it.
I don’t think there’s any way to mount anything on this. You’ll need a matterbox
@@YuvalAloni thank you!
@@YuvalAloniit has their own filters at the back end. When it new they have tree different filters.

also is there a chance to find photos with the lens on apsc? or i mean can i get some more footage or pictures with is on an apsc camera?
I am not sure how it'll look on apsc to be honest.. I think it wouldn't really be so curvy / fish-eyes
@@YuvalAloni ok thank you, and nice video
@@najved Thanks :)
@@YuvalAloni but the crop from the bmpcc6kpro sensor is almost like apsc?
I've had one of these lenses for like 15 years...and it's super super hazy and won't get a sharp focus on anything anymore. I'm so bummed.
Get a new one! they're going for pretty cheap :)
Wow this is a beauty!
Have you shot with it before?
Sold me
Get it!
You're on the BMPCC6K?
Auto focus going crazy on this video
Your video's should get more views
Thanks! I appreciate it :)
what adapter did you use?
He said m42 to EF adapter
Just a cheap M42 to EF indeed
