Hi, Bob, I made up a story to use as many words as possible from your last video lesson and the previous ones. I am your new student and am trying to catch up with all these years. I had not got along with my co-worker for a long time. However, today, we had a real fight. I had a lot on my plate in the morning when he came late and demanded to assist him with his duties. When I defied his request, he started to shout at me and call me names. It was too much! After 8 hours of being with him in one room, I felt so stressed and angry that I needed to do anything to unwind. It had just started to snow heavily, so I bundled up and left my workplace without a word. I hoped that a brisk walk would help me blow off steam. For a while, I was on the fence about which route to choose. However, when I noticed a sand spreader passing, I followed it. I knew it would clear the road and spread some sand over it. And that it would make walking easier and safer. I started to march, breathing deeply. The cold air filled my nostrils and cooled me down. Soft snowflakes landed gently on my face and soothed me, too. Suddenly, the truck turned right into a gravel road. Again, I followed it. I saw a creek covered with ice. Ducks were teeming on the ice. It looked as if they were surprised that they could not plunge into the water. This sight cracked me up. I laughed until tears filled my eyes and trickled down my face. I felt relieved. I put my hand into my pocket and clutched the phone. I decided to dial my colleague’s number. He picked up. We exchanged a few words and said sorry. Thus, we started our relationship afresh. I returned home late but happy.
Hi, bob, my new year's resolution is to get thinner, so I've decided to take up jogging to blow off steam after a long day of hard work. I believe it's also a good way to lose weight.
