    I think you were both weak from hunger the first time you fished, but after Satoshi had eaten he had the energy to catch 4 scallops. I don't eat seafood, so I would starve in Japan, but the food looked really beautiful. In Japan even the simplest food is so elegantly presented. This was a fun video to watch.

    Guys, this was fun! I can fish in Japan and I don't need to bring my equipment with me. I love the way the Japanese prepare their seafood so creatively! Everything is mouthwatering!

    Wow, that fish looked amazing! Your filming skills are GREAT. What kind of camera are you using? Are you using external lighting? Very nice camera work, and the food looks delicious.

      +Spoon Fork Heart we use only natural light but we do adjust the lighting on our camera for best results. We're using a Panasonic LUMIX.

    Such interesting videos, a really cool look at Japanese life/food/history and culture.     I love watching you guys eating! I can tell just how much you enjoy your food. Unfortunately I am allergic to shellfish but I eat a lot of fish, I eat catfish, tilapia and tuna as well as many others. I really am glad that you two enjoyed this visit and you got to catch some fresh scallops at the end to enjoy!!!

    I am very close to drool. Fresh scallops!! And SABA no SHIOYAKI!! Saba is my fav fish. One thing I sure miss living in the desert state is fresh ocean sea food. BTW did you know scallops swim like Pacman? They are really cute swimming.

    There's a place in Shinjuku in the Washington Hotel, called Zauo. They do the same thing, let you fish for your dinner for 2 hours. :D they have many kinds of fish and lobsters that you can catch. Once you catch your dinner, they announce it to everyone and celebrate your name and catch on the taiko drums lol. It's a little on the expensive side but i thought it was a really fun experience. Would go back again ;).

    PS: Can you recommend something about Aomori (next to this recommended restaurant)?
    As a not so good speaking Japanese tourist would it be difficult to go to this restaurant to order something?

      We live in misawa Japan I been to tokyo let me know if you ever see sailormoon stuff in your adventures. ^_^ so they don't have universe in tokyo? Is a super makert all around Japan town ^_^.

    I have been waiting for the scallop fishing video since the 3 days train trip! Great video, and you guys really made me jealous... And y'know what? You inspire me to make my own food channel for Indonesian cuisine, i think i'll try that, because indonesian cuisine is also great, and i want make people feel as jealous as i feel when i saw your food adventure video! #agirlcandreamcanshe
