Home to rich natural blessing of mountains, rivers and the sea, Niigata Prefecture is a tresure trove of food.

0:20 Rice : Niigata Rice is the No.1 brand of rice consumed in Japan. Day and night temperature fluctuation and fresh mountain meltwater are the key to Niigata Rice.
1:49 Wagyu : Niigata Wagyu is one of the Japanese beef with beautiful marbling fat. Snowmelt water ,clean air and high quality feed gives Wagyu its sumptuous taste and flavor.

5:34 Echigo Hime : is a variety of strawberry from Niigata with bright red color and glossy shine. The strawberry is delicous with good balance of sugar content and acidity,
7:19 Niigata Chicken: is a brand of free-range chiken in Niigata. The meat has a very concentrated taste with a satisfying texture.
Thank you for this great video. I am going to Japan next March (my 4th trip to Japan), and we will spend 1 night in Niigata city and 3 nights on Sado Island. I very much look forward to it.
Wow! I do agree that it is a treasure trove of food. There is still a lack of English accessibility that keeps people from getting to know about the food from the people, a lack of tour programs that allow for those experiences, and a transportation system that isn't ready for large suitcases at the moment due to the low amount of people coming. There is an overall fear to visit the prefecture due to possible language confusion.
