With last winters heavy rains and the tail end of the hurricane that came through in summer, Oriflamme canyon was hit pretty hard washing a lot of sediment down stream, exposing more of the rocks and turning the normally easy wash at the end of the trail into deep and soft sand. A year ago this same trail was much more fun and far easier to navigate. You guys did great!
Good times! I bet your ride up that rock fest on the 890 was a blast!!!
Haha great time! I gotta hand it to you guys who ride them big bikes in the rough. What a workout!
Good times for sure! Thanks for coming out.
Nice Desert ride thank you for this Adventure video Kyle 👍
Super fun Loop! Thanks for watching!
Very nice offroad ride Kyle!...that GSA did very well too!...congratulations!
Good times for sure!!!
My son "ktm390" and I "890advR" did that trail a few years ago and absolutely loved it. There were a few tricky sections for sure ... Atleast for me lol
Yeah, fun for sure!
I need that tail bag!!! Great video! Thanks for taking us along.
It was a great time! That tail bag will be available in February.
@@manybikes can’t wait to get it! Keep up the great work!
@@JustLaineADV thanks for watching!
That was an excellent loop Kyle. You've talked me into the Klim Krios to replace my X-4 when it's time. I also agree we need a quality comm/action cam combo.
It’s my 2nd one… after putting my head back into it (went Bell AX9 for a year) it was like Ahhhhhh….
I rode this same route a week later. Beautiful and fun, but scared the crap out of me.
The sliding at what seemed at “out of control” speeds a few times downhill over rocks the moved the bike feet at a time to one side or the other was “interesting and exciting” to say the least. Good ride for sure!
This is great footage! The route looked awesome, Honda needs to use it next time as the demo route 😆. Great to get a chance to meet you...until next time.
Such a fun ride. I totally agree… A more “dirt road” text track vs. 8 miles of SAND would be a better option for “feeling” how the bike works.
The key to riding in the sand is to stand. You let the front wheel wander where it wants to and offset it by counter balancing on your feet. Works every time.
Great advise! So true...
Rode that loop the beginning of the year on the 890r after some rains and it was sketchy as hell on the wet rocks.
I can only imagine those rocks being wet... WOW! And slippery from the mud. That would have been interesting!
Look at those sights! You must have had a great time!
You like that Krios Pro better than the Arai XD4?
It was a fantastic ride. The event is great. 3 days of great rides with friends.
Yes, I prefer the Krios Pro over the XD4 in function. Fit and finish the Arai is way more solid of a build.
what microphone are you using?
Purple Panda plugged into my DJI Osmo Action: amzn.to/47DDnaQ
@manybikes It sounds pretty good, I tried it before, but it didn't work for me with my set up , don't know why.
You need the volume control knob to “keep it from peeking” …. amzn.to/49SP5Ac
How has the hitman 55 been going?
It's a decent tire. I ran it until bald... and just haven't had the opportunity to shoot my follow-up review. Not having my notes in-hand, I want to say I got just over 4k miles out of them. Pretty impressive for how soft they were.
@@manybikes are they comparable to tkc80's or shinko 804's?
