I can honestly say I had never cried so many times reading a book. I really wanted to thank you for putting together such great reading order for the series. This has been one of the best reading experiences of my life and I don't think it would have been the case if I had just read the 8 books.
Amazing book series. Loved every moment I spent reading through each chapter. I'll be back on my way to the Tower again pretty soon, too! Something always seems to draw me back in...
Finally finished this today, for the first time. Absolutely loved the whole thing. Your videos added to my enjoyment after every installment. I now feel like a true King Fan. Officially. Dark Tower badge of honour. I miss them all...
Love the Dark Tower series, read it at least 3 times now. First came across the "Gunslinger" story a long long time ago, and was hooked. Yes, I did get angry at the ending the first time. Then it made more sense later and I was OK with it. Then OK became WoW. Thanks for this and so glad I found your channel. Best wishes.
Just finished the whole series, having started in January, plus slipping in Salem's Lot between books 4 and 5 (which worked really well). Firstly thanks for the videos, which have been great accompaniments before starting and along the way. They've really added to my enjoyment of reading. As for the end, I really liked it and it makes sense and work well. The likeliness of this end is signposted many, many times throughout so i found it satisfying.
I really enjoyed the dark tower it definitely had some shocking moments in the book even though some people hated the ending I actually like it plus I didn't see it coming 🌟
I read this whole series as they first came out from start to finish. I'd check Waldenbooks etc. before the internet started to stay on top of it. I also got the Dark tower compendium which I recommend alongside reading the series which gets a lot of personal thoughts from Steven King on it. Here's a summary of why the end's the end whether you liked it or not: Steven King got in a vehicle accident with him being a pedestrian and a vehicle hitting him. This was after his book insomnia around 1995, which in my view was the pinnacle of his writing and also ties into the Dark Tower like so many others. His writing ability recovered but he was afraid of dying before being able to finish it and he wanted a finish...so after all of the grandiose writing of the tower....you got an end and you got what you got. I'd be curious to know what he thinks about that today and any regrets or frustration about that as he's still here...still writing lol. It was a great story and one of the best series I've read personally to me and as they say it's in the journey..
Enjoyed reading this at the time, and liked very much the absolute ending, but upon reflection it feels like a weak book...(trying to stay spoiler-free now)... overcoming the crimson king (you called this a climax.... it really wasn't); the fate of the man in black; the fates of some of the members of the ka-tet (especially Oi), are all handled in ways that feel small.
Loved this one as well, loved the ending. I felt the first hundred pages of DT should have been the ending of SoS. But hey, who cares. It was all amazing ❤
If anyone from outside of the us ever wants to visit locations which were the basis for many of the locations in Stephen King books you may just go to Maine where he lives. Maine is not the only place. Most of the east coast from New York and further up on the map. There are many small towns and old suburban areas that are pretty good touristy locations overall. But don’t just go anywhere. Make sure you first check online about the crime rates. You don’t want to go to one of those more industrial small towns where crime rates are too high due to drug issues. Don’t be tricked by stereotypes that areas where mostly white people live don’t have serious crime issues. Some other small towns are as backward as some racist small towns in the US southern states. Just research first.
Loved the ending! And it honestly shocked me.
Made me re-read the Gunslinger.
Nice!

For sure! And, y'know, I think the ending is pretty darned good!

Very true
That's fair - I do agree with you on the man in black...the others did feel a bit bigger for me though
The ending was pretty cool I thought I kinda wanna reread it now only book in the series I have only read once.
Enjoy it when you do!
Loved this one as well, loved the ending.

I also loved the ending - thought it was spot on!
