DieselBoy has been killing it since the 90's. Dude created the modern sound 20 years ago. A Soldiers Story, System Updgrde, The Sixth Session, 97 Octane, The DungeonMaster's Guide. I could go on and on. Every single DnB DJ and producer knows about DieselBoy, trust me. This man is a legend. I had the pleasure of seeing him live around 2000 a few times. Legendary sets!
I saw POTD and when he was up, he dropped into MJ "Human Nature" out of nowhere and I remember everyone stopped and just stared at the disco ball that got illuminated at the same time. Then he went right back into a banger. Never forget that
Love the UK D&B! However, love the US D&B too! Love it all, cause I’m an everyday Junglist! Never mind all the arguing, just enjoy the music. I’ve seen Dieselboy live a minimum of 8 times in Colorado. Dude is my favorite! Props to all the others though. 🤟
I’m from the uk don’t care where a dj is from as long as they’re amazing dieselboy is more than amazing but he doesn’t stand alone amc and crissy Chris are defo up there with him
I remember when diesel boy mixed house and breaks ,92 and pre 92, at Metropol. And I got a breaks tape from him recorded at a place called illusions. 1994. He was just having fun. A great mix too!
The DJ that got me into d&b in 99 an my favorite hands down to this day saw him more times then I can count an blew me away every time an actual Tru DJ
Same. The first time I heard System Upgrade, it broke my brain. It was like I had been living inside my whole life and accidentally found the door leading outside, like " ... the f*ck is this shit?" 😂
I first heard of Dieselboy in Need For Speed: Most Wanted in the old days.. I needed more since that fateful day 17 years ago… and each year since, Dieselboy always keeps my prescription filled
Same here. That game is responsible for bringing me into the DnB realm years ago. The earlier games got me into techno. NFS used to have the best soundtracks, now it is straight dogshit. Don't even get me started on NFS Heat soundtrack, by far the worst ever.
He came to Houston not too long ago, I never call in sick to work, but when I found out at last minute, I didn't feel good that night lol. I never miss a show here.
Wow, just incredible man. I first started hunting down every CD I could find from Dieselboy around 2000. Always wicked. Always in my rotation. Just found this and I am beyond pumped. Same wicked vibe, just love it.
I've been listening to this genius for many years and Yeah dieselboy is the best hands down. He has been doing this a long time! And let's not forget raw and original!
I’ve known about dieselboy since 2003 but I’m more of an underground hip hop head but this shit I been getting into again over the last few years thanks for posting
Midwest stand up. raves back in late 90s to early 2000s ..i was everywhere every weekend. every party..planet of drums? pure drum in bass at gym club in Ohio had him..helped throw that party...
Gotta say those were good times I saw planet of the drums 3 different times and every time they had the crowd going fucking bonkers. I remember going to the Alliant energy center in Madison almost every other week for the biggest names in the game. I think Turned on 2 was by far the best event they had there then it was back in a people's house 2. It's sad how they ruined back in a people's house 3 in Illinois it was basically a big setup they even had a courthouse set up in one of the buildings to charge people right away. That was one of the last events I went to besides even further. Talk about memory lane. We definitely knew how to party and didn't hold anything back.
When you have a rule zero with Post Malone and he says he’s playing an, “ah well you know…” deck, what that really means is a “Try hard tier 1 combo deck of yester year.”
Ok Diesel boy is American but yall myst not realize, most of his tracks are done by UK producers. At least on his best 2 mixes... Which are System upgrade and 6th session.
Man that intro gives me chills, every, single, time! Love this album ❤❤ It makes for a great pretext to the adventure you're about to be taken on. My only gripe about this whole mix is when he butchered Nuvertal - Things We Shared, like just let that one play without the competing beats, it sounds bad.
OK...so he's still using turntables? Or is that a digitally simulated "authentic-sounding analog turntable noise" effect being applied at the beginning?
Nah, he performs on CDJs, but they are great at synthesizing analog sounds. I mean there is a chance he uses vinyl timecodes, but I haven't heard or seen him on turntables in years. I have a controller and it can mimic vinyl very well at the push of a button. Pretty sure the track was just pre recorded with that effect though. A little too crisp.
He wasn’t pushing 4 decks to make this many mash-ups in one set either. Apples and oranges bro. His past albums were story book mixes FOR SURE. This is just a different approach.

How did you forget Human??
Dieselboy - my DNB hero since Soldiers Story - my “Death Metal of techno” king……still bangin🤘
That's exactly it! I didn't know how to explain it. It's like longing to hear DRI whilst having to hear (Shiny Happy People)....
Soldiers Story was my beginning!
I've been jamming diesel boy since the six 11 album in 98, I was 19. Good time's.😁💯🎉®
Whenever someone says "it's all about uk dnb" I just say "Dieselboy" not down to argue. He just brings it
Yo bump this comment up!!!

Diesel is the greatest ever in my humble opinion
9 times outta 10, they've never heard of him... make sure to hit em with the link.

@@Shin_Lona 97 Octane was the album that got me hooked. Favorite track was the EZ Rollers - Though at the Top on that album. 🤟
me too
in 1998, I got a free copy of his first CD from the record label, when I owned a music shop in Denver.
Yes bro! I started in 99 as well! Dieselboy once came and rocked the Hanger the Houston back then. Was so amazing!
I first heard of Dieselboy in Need For Speed: Most Wanted in the old days..

Love Dieselboy cannot imagine life without him
Dieselboy said he's leaving you, sorry
Same ❤️

97 Octane was GREAT! Been a fan since.
Not heard this mix before, thanks for the upload!
No problemo!
Man this mixx is insanely good!
Again! A mindblowing set! Fan from System Uprade ages and still
He's not a respected U.S DnB producer/dj. .... No .... HES WORSHIPPED.
Would love to hear this live. Bad ass set.👍😁💯🎉®
Glad to see this mix got re-uploaded to YT, for a while I could only find it on SoundCloud.
3:30 is when it starts
Of the first CD's I ever owned was the 6th sessions.

It’s gonna be another wild year…
Дизель - топ!
Deisel Boy blessed my unborn child in the womb
Neighborhood theater... I have fuk off tattoo on my chest
When ever someone mentions UK DNB
I like to argue and bring up 6BLOCC L.A. jungle pioneer setting the decks on fire every set straight reppin

Underground parties!
ARE YOU FOR REAL STILL SPINNING AND MIXING?? Is Dara and AK1200... is ... A PLANET OF THE DRUMS REUNION IN THE 2020s possible?????????
🏆🥇🥈🥉🏅🎖️
Listened to this at work on a proper PA System, sounds nang.
Oh cool, it's System Upgrade with 2 extra sound effects 🙄
OK...so he's still using turntables? Or is that a digitally simulated "authentic-sounding analog turntable noise" effect being applied at the beginning?

@@houstoner never underestimate a vinyl dj....I started with vinyl and still spin it to this day. I love the sound. I'm sure diesel does too.
Gone are the days of technic 1200s being the best of the best. Kinda sad 😥 I do like hearing some vinyl but that is far and gone it seems.
1:00:38 this is the part where all of you wake the f up
I woke up at 12:00
What year was this album?
2019
still sick as fuck
NO donwtime. I wish there were some more sets like Heart of darkness, destroyer and destro2.
Diverse and fresh Neurofunk back2back no mc
First track is a rip
Where's the darkness?!?! False advertising
sry to observe that compared to mixes before 2000ish, this is a huge crap pile...
