Those lighting Engineers need a payrise asap
Usually it's only a couple of people that design and control the lighting and a massive team to set it all up! It's truly impressive. I can assure you their lighting designers get paid VERY well for this level of work. It's definitely the best I've ever seen.
Most of the work is obviously done in advance, you program all the relative axis movements of the spots, strobes and timings and cue them to the control panel. Then you hit the button and enjoy the show :D
A friend of mine is studying event management and does this, you can do it very cheap or extremely complex depending on how much time you put in.
Even though it's mostly pre-programmed by the lighting designers, it's still a hell of a lot of work to time the cues right and other things, but my god is it worth it when you get to see all of your hard work right before your eyes instead of in a visualizer!
Oh the things I would give to have access to a rig like this...
mostly of the time they get the sets before the event they program their Ma ( mostly) and then they can set there cues right on time
As an Photographer on the event itself it was hell walking thrue the crowd, flashing lights everywhere O.o o.O

Call me old fashioned but I'm from the days (jungle) were you would hold a mix for more then the 4 seconds these two are, and to be going like that there must have been pushing sync buttons like crazy. Also why does it look like it's taken the mantle of an EDM rave?.
If you have enough decks it's possible to mix like that without hitting the sync button, just needs some practice mate ;) I also think some tunes can be played longer than just those 20 seconds but if that is their style and people enjoy it, why not ? Dnb is evolving and also dj's are stepping up their mixing game, we'll just have to accept it :)
