- Junglist salute! Another 38 of my favourite Jungle / Drum n Bass cuts from back in the day. This time focusing on the 94-95 ‘Golden Era’ or ‘Golden Age’ of Jungle. Full track list with timestamps below.
This is the ‘Part II’ to my Oldskool Jungle Mix (link to original in comments). I decided to film this mix but it didn’t exactly go to plan! To make up for the shocking video quality (filmed in a very dimly lit room on low res) I have added some EQ graphics and some colour to give that 90’s vibe.
Advanced warning, the mixing is pretty rough at times. So much so, that for listenability purposes and my own mental comfort, I re-recorded two of the mixes (Black VIP vs Black and Maximum Style vs Loveable).

46 years young myself and still listening and playing most days. To be honest I can't stand the new stuff and it cannot be called dnb .Probably got 70% of the tunes on this playlist. Personally for me Black by SS is the finest tune of that genre. Its a way of life people and it will never die. Hopefully I'm still jumping and skanking in another 46 years time. I'll let u know. Till then peace and love to my original jungle dnb brothers and sisters.
To me there was a gradual but noticeable split from jungle to DnB at around this time, a bit earlier perhaps. They're not the same but they are related, I think of old DnB as a more accessible style

Haven’t listened to this genre in ages and a week ago a bug crawled in my ear and kept whispering “you need old school jungle”. Luckily I found my way to your first mix quickly. remember going to the jungle raves in london..as a young colombian it was fantastic not having the constant barriers of race and religion and every one getting together as one family enjoying the junglist massive scene. those memories will stay with me until my final seconds of existence on this beautyfull planet
