I remember in the game when you come across this in Fink's workshop. It took me a moment to realize it was Tears for Fears in a rather old timey fashion. I went back to the beginning and specifically listened to the other songs played. It was pretty wild.
Fun Fact: The song technically already had been planned much earlier than expected. In the first gameplay trailer, when Booker busts into the bar to avoid getting tank-shot by Saltonstall the gramophone was already playing this very song, before Booker gets shotgunned by the owner to "Get Out! We're Closed!"
Tristan Hartry Erm no, I'm not trolling, I genuinely find Bioshock Infinite to be underwhelming. And yes, in the game universe, it's plagiarism. I'm not talking about the game's song writer appropriating the song for the game, I'm referring to the ingame musician plagiarizing the song from Tears For Fears.
***** And yet we can observe it today as being plagiarism, in a similar way we can view slavery as abhorrent during a past time when it was considered acceptable.

I didn't know this song has this version
You may enjoy Post Modern Jukebox on YT. They did a few songs for Bioshock Infinite.
Played this for my Dad. He had a weird look on his face for a bit, and when the chorus came on the first time, he looked and me and burst out laughing. He loved it.
the bridge is absolutely amazing.
I'm so happy that this is Scott bradlee ❤️
You know only the true ones be vibin till 2021
Yupppp
I remember in the game when you come across this in Fink's workshop. It took me a moment to realize it was Tears for Fears in a rather old timey fashion. I went back to the beginning and specifically listened to the other songs played. It was pretty wild.
Beautiful
I wish I could forget this game, only to cry and be happy again again
Very fitting song for this game's scenario
Tears for Fears
One of the best games I have ever played
I love the remixes of this game, especially the carnival version of Girls just wanna have fun
Beautiful 'oldified' cover. Congrats! Greetings from Pittsburgh, PA
The producer of this song and many others in BI also has youtube channel. Definitely check it out in the description.
Everybody wants to rule the world steampunk version
Just got my first tickets to PMJ due to this game and Scott's live streams during the pandemic.
Fun Fact:
The song technically already had been planned much earlier than expected.
In the first gameplay trailer, when Booker busts into the bar to avoid getting tank-shot by Saltonstall the gramophone was already playing this very song, before Booker gets shotgunned by the owner to "Get Out! We're Closed!"
So very thankful I grew up with this
I really love this version, so great.
I was always requesting this song from Scott Bradlee, cool to hear this and learn of his involvement
shit, this gives me feels every time I hear it
I have no words for how great this is...I love the piano part in place of the original's synth solo.
I also love TFT too.
Bioshock Infinite is probably the only game I consider art
UNDERTALE,
XENOBLADE,
dang can't think of any more
also the anger was a joke
+More Potatoes Undertale was overrated and predictable
Chinkus McDingus
overrated true
predictable also true
so whatever
and the other one
Hyper light drifter
The Walking Dead by Telltale?
old timey singer + piano + 80's music = WIN
More tea sir? And here’s today paper have a good day sir
These renditions of these songs are amazing, honestly its one of the coolest smartest things that has been done in gaming in a long time.
this version is way superior to the lorde version
Less badass sounding though
Omega One Tears For Fears were not only the first, but the best.
um....tears for fears you fuckers
***** Eh. All versions are great in their own way.
LitehoundGaming your trolling right?
Love this cover so much.
Perhaps the one clever and interesting thing in Bioshock Infinite - Plagiarism.
I know you're trolling, but I don't think you know the definition of the word plagiarism.
Tristan Hartry
Erm no, I'm not trolling, I genuinely find Bioshock Infinite to be underwhelming. And yes, in the game universe, it's plagiarism. I'm not talking about the game's song writer appropriating the song for the game, I'm referring to the ingame musician plagiarizing the song from Tears For Fears.
*****
And yet we can observe it today as being plagiarism, in a similar way we can view slavery as abhorrent during a past time when it was considered acceptable.
*****
I wasn't making a comparison between the two, only illustrating the point that we often define concepts of the past by means of using present concepts. Feel free to be insulted by something I never actually said, though.

You completely missed the point right from the first paragraph, so I'm not sure how to be any clearer than I have been.
At this point im just used to the Bioshock version of these songs
This version sounds a lot like something the Ink Spots would have done.
This song makes me think in what is happenig now in the media. Maybe has been that way since always.
