I'm glad you like this video. These were fun to make. Visit my original music channel where I perform some of my songs. It is also nostalgic in a sense since I grew up in the 60s and 70s. ruclips.net/video/ixga8L_LUEE/видео.html
Now of course we know that those incandescent light bulbs carelessly left within the cone of silence can be used as electromagnetic microphones these days (and maybe even then too).
Truly characterizes with brilliance FAR AHEAD of its' time the tendency for humanity to believe that technology alone will solve human problems. Without the human heart and brain guiding it, technology can easily go off the rails. It also shows how "sophisticated" communication devices can actually be an impediment to human communication.
@@johnchristian1545 next best funny shit was agent 13. He was found in a trash can, airport locker, file cabinet, ice machine, cigarette machine, fireplace, washing machine. I was young when I saw all of this. All those gags. Mel Brooks and Don Adams. Best of times. Watching Johnny Carson when I was supposed to be asleep. Rodney Dangerfield. Would you believe 2 nuns and a parrot?

Classic Get Smart !!
Always a good laugh when the cone was used
"Hodgkins, raise the cone of silence." "Whaaaatt??" Classic!
Nothing beats the cone of silence for a good laugh.
Ed Platt had such a great voice. He sang in one of the episodes
More Get Smart!!
Brilliant comedy!!!

Brilliant!!!
You know what's coming but you laugh anyway. Mel Brooks was one of the Executive Producers on this show so you know it's funny.
That is classic !
The cone of silence never worked! That was the funny part of the show!
This is from the very first episode...how do I know that? Well, the first episode of "Get Smart" is the ONLY B/W one of the series...

Did The Cone of Silence ever work?
As far as I know, never.
He may have not been as much of a dimwit as Larrabee, but I didn't care as much for Hodgkins like I did Larrabee.
Larrabee was great.
Hilarious
It's not even a cone LOL
I remember the one time the cone of silence worked with no sound issues, it wouldn’t go back up!
Yup. And there was this one time they used the portable cone of silence.
