- TVSeriesFinale.com A compilation of McDonald's TV commercials from December 1988. The "Double Cheeseburger Reunion" ad campaign brings back classic TV icons to promote the fast-food chain's new Double Cheeseburger special.
Characters include The Beverly Hillbillies' Jed Clampett (Buddy Ebsen), The Munsters' Grandpa (Al Lewis), Get Smart's Agent 86 (Don Adams), Gilligan's Island's Gilligan (Bob Denver) and, Leave It to Beaver's June Cleaver (Barbara Billingsley) and Eddie Haskell (Ken Osmond). Развлечения
Ken Osmond R.I.P.
Don Adams And Al Lewis should have teamed up they were hilarious !
@Little Bit Or maybe a KAOS agent?
This was just genius advertising.
Actually.. this commercial SUCKED. I could of written something clever than that.
if all of these characters would have appeared in one program together, it would have been the greatest crossover episode of all time. sadly, however, none of them are with us any longer
Sigh! Yes. Grew up with these characters. And yes it would have been an epic crossover episode with all these characters. One can only imagine.
Maxwell Smart thinks the Munsters are spies follows them on a boat where the Cleavers just happen to be taking the dream vacation cruise they've saved for years for and when Siegfried attacks the ship and it runs aground on Gilligan's island?
The Beverly Hillbillies, The Munsters, Get Smart, Gilligan's Island and Leave It to Beaver do take place in the same universe.
June from Leave It To Beaver and Grandpa from The Munsters appear the episode Make My Bed (June) and Grey Skies (Grandpa) from a short lived sitcom called Hi Honey, I'm Home while June, Wally and Beaver appeared alongside Gilligan and The Skipper from Gilligan's Island and Maxwell from Get Smart in the film Back to the Beach.
The Beverly Hillbillies crossover with Green Acres while Lisa from that show also appeared in the Hi Honey, I’m Home episode Honey’s First Job.
Sad but true. I'd like to think they're all together in heaven again
All of these actors have now passed away - Ken Osmond being the most recent. That makes me sad :-( . . . but it also tells me these actors surely left their marks on the world.
I wish they did more commercials like this. This was great they did that. Gilligan's must've been lucky that they took him off the island just so he can eat a French Fry. I hope he brought the food back for the others.
The Beverly Hillbillies, Leave it to Beaver, Gilligan's Island, The Munsters and Get Smart sounds like the weekday lineup for the local UHF station.
UHF? I haven't heard that since cable TV was invented.😮😮😮😮
I love Get Smart, Gilligan's Island and the Munsters. They really don't make sitcoms like they used to.
You could say that again.
@@betelgeuseredstone9082 I asked you not to tell me that! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm grateful for an era growing up in.
Thank you for this.
Maxwell Smart...."and loving it!"
McDonald's exec: gets idea, sits on it for 20 years.
Don Adams's family need residuals for that catchphrase.
*Burger King, watching from the shadows*: "hmmm... 'loving it.'"
So many great actors from the past, it's sad that most of them have passed away.
With Eddie Haskell passing away today they are all gone.
Lamont Bradford it’s very sad
They have all passed away
Can we trade some of today's lot for these great people?
@@v-town1980 Definitely not.

I remember these ads. I thought these were great. Grand Pa Munster Eddie Haskell June Cleaver Jed Clampett Gilligan and Maxwell Smart. Love Eddie's laugh and that high school sweater he's wearing. And Grand Pa and Gilligan being their goofy selves. This was back when ads were fun to watch. Love these ads.
I wouldn't expect anything less from Bob Denver.
I love this commercial. Most of my favorite characters
I would have been 3 or 4 years old when this commercial came out. I was born in the 80’s but don’t remember the 80’s. It seemed like a nicer time than now.
You're darn tootin correct.😊
Buddy Ebsen (1908 - 2003); Jed Clampett - "The Beverly Hillbillies"
Barbara Billingsley (1915 - 2010); June Cleaver - "Leave It To Beaver"
Al Lewis (1923 - 2006); Grandpa - "The Munsters"
Don Adams (1923 - 2005); Maxwell Smart - "Get Smart"
Bob Denver (1935 - 2005); Gilligan - "Gilligan's Island"
Ken Osmond (1943 - 2020), Eddie Haskell - "Leave It To Beaver"
The Beveryly Hillbillies' truck is still around, though, and is on display at the Ralph Foster Museum on the campus of The College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Missouri.
Thank you for little bio on each actor.that was awesome commercial.such a simple time that's long gone.😊😢😊
It's neat to see these old commercials again.
Grandpa, Jed and June lived well into their 90's . Laughter is the best 😍 medicine. Great commercial 👍.
Thank you for sharing - wonderful! "I asked you not to tell me that."
And......loving it.
RIP to all who appeared on this. Nobody will ever be better than them.
My that's a lovely double cheeseburger your eating Mrs. Cleaver!! LOL R.I.P Ken Osmond🙏
He was still patronizing her and she still politely answers thank you Eddie
@@impassable maybe they're lovers...who knows
In the 80s, even the commercials were fun!
I love this old commercial, what's sad about it is they're all gone now. Eddie Haskell was my favorite.
This was fun to watch, thanks for posting
The Icons from my Youth .... and Eddie :)
When commercials were fun.
This Mcdonald commercial brings back, fond memories of the shows I used to watch.
I do remember these. I graduated from high school in 1988. Good memories.
Nice seeing Al Lewis. Would've been nice to see Butch Patrick or Yvonne De Carlo in it. But oh well. I know Al was heavily into portraying his character even this many years later. The character was so much of his personality anyway. Like he said "why not, it pays the bills".
+vintagerosenz He couldn't escape the character, he tried too but lost. He kept getting typecast as a Grandpa-like character. He kept trying to get different roles, but eventually gave in and accepted it.
@@AlfredHawthornBennyHill It would have been nice to see Herman in this commercial as well. Loved his goofy laugh.
@@kevinmiller6324 Would have been great, unfortunately Fred Gwynne wanted nothing to do with the series after it ended because he kept getting scripts typecasting as either a monster type character or no one would believe that "Herman Munster" could play the part. He had lots of resentment towards the character.
@@kevinmiller6324 The only reason he did The Munsters Revenge in 1981 was because they paid him what he wanted.
That was fun. May they all rest in peace. 🤗

Wow things were awesome in 1989, glad I was born that year. Wish I'd have been born earlier to experience the awesomeness of the 80's.
Wilson Fisk ...and the 60s and 70s.
Wilson Fisk but at least we experienced the awesomeness of the 90's
The 50s the 60s 70s and 80s were the great decades but when the 90s rolled around it all went to hell and hasn't looked back.
Except for MTM the eighties were highly overrated.
@@cuda3408 It went to hell after 2001.
Buddy Ebsen was a vegetarian too. Guess he was such an acting pro he could hold the burger close enough--that "hoooooo-oooo-weee!" ain't just whistlin' Dixie, folks! lol
I am so old, i remember them very well.
The only time a crossover was made into a commercial. 😁
What makes me sad is that none of these amazing stars of yesteryear are with us anymore. I grew up with each and every one of them, every afternoon. And now I can only see them through RUclips clips.
RIP Al Lewis, Barbara Billingsley, Bob Denver, Buddy Epsen, Don Adams, and Ken Osmond.
The TV stars of the sixties and seventies are dropping like flies.
Makes you miss the 80s more knowing that all these actors are no longer with us
1988 I was too busy being a party girl darn it I missed this commercial
but seems I must’ve got a little peek at it
I do remember the Grandpa/Munsters
It would have been nice if Jethro Bodine appeared in this commercial.
He was an eatin' man !
Yeah, but what would everybody else eat with him around?
@@harleyray5183 Too bad they didn't have William Perry in this commercial; he made a McDonald's commercial as a Chicago Bears rookie in 1985.
@@runequester6834 Lol. True.
I get the reference. He commenced to eatin’ ever since he was a little boy. :)
Gee wiz.. all these iconic American television actors have past on !! These are well done McDonald's commercials.. too bad clown Ronald didn't make appearance. !! Nice memories of yesteryears gone bye...thank you for posting. peace be too all
I kind of wish they did a skit with all of them interacting. my favorite was Maxwell and grandpa monster together.
As of May 18, 2020 all the TV icons in these commercials have now passed away. Ken Osmond being the last.
Greatest commercials ever for someone like me from that Era. Love all of these actors.
My friend Mia is the actress playing a McDonalds employee @ 1:22 (dark hair, left of center) saying “Thank you, Eddie!”.
That Double Cheeseburger tasted way better back then than they do now.
The double cheeseburger was much bigger then. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Al Lewis always loved to have fun, especially as Grandpa Munster.
Me and my grandfather used to watch Leave it to Beaver all the time. To see Eddie and Mrs. Cleaver makes me smile. RIP Ken and Barb.
Ken Osmond who played Eddie Haskell, was a Los Angeles policeman for many years. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
@@harperstacey9604 So I’ve heard and may I say that’s a lovely comment you left Ms. Stacey!
@@Frnk_3 Thank you, Brandon. I love leave it to beaver. I watch the show every morning on cable tv. Eddie Haskell was the most two-faced character in television history. Have a great day 😘. From Ms. Harper Stacey.

R.I.P. Ken Osmond
What a wonderful commercial!
this came out the year i was born!
They should have race between The Beverly Hillbillies truck and Munster Koach. But make sure the truck has Ganny's Mooshine in the gas tank.
The only thing these commercials were missing was Barney Fife.
Barney probably would have shot himself in the foot trying to make a 'citizen's arrest.' Lol.
I'm Deputy Barney Fife! I'm here to make a citizen's arrest and to confiscate all those double cheeseburgers.
R.I.P. to these TV legends!
I love French food!
RIP to all the celebrities involved in this commercial.
Talk about it nostalgia and they were all rocking sitcom
If McDonald's ever did one of these retro commercials again, here are the characters I'd love to see reprising their roles:
John Walton, George Jefferson, Carol and Greg Brady, Fonzie
Richard Thomas and Henry Winkler are still with us, but Sherman Hemsley, Robert Reed and Florence Henderson are deceased.
@@armorybrunotjr.3204 That's Mike Brady you're thinking of. Greg Brady was played by Barry Williams, who is still alive and well.
All good - except Henry Winkler...
@@armorybrunotjr.3204 Do you mean John Walton or John-Boy Walton? 2 different actors. Ralph Waite and Richard Thomas.
I like French food too so I'm heading to McD's after work.
Wow when commercials were good. Now a days all we get are pharmaceutical and other garbage advertising. Great upload.
Jed Clampett, Maxwell Smart, Gilligan (I believe his first name is Willy, but I'm not 100% sure on that), June Cleaver, Eddie Haskell, and Grandpa Sam Dracula enjoying lunch.
Jethro could have eaten a platter of those burgers
Probably did
Grandpa and Max. Awesome!
Thank you! Thank you! I loved these!
"I love French food!"
I forgot about that series of commercials.
What happened to America? This was when life was good!
ah the 80's when even the commercials were great. can we just all go back and forget everything after the 90's even happened?
This is the time that creativity is turned into great commercials. Now they use the same one and put in a new actor.
Did they ever replay some of these in the 90’s? I weirdly recall Grandpa in McDonald’s.
Barbara Billingsly died in 2010 at age 94. Ken Osmond is the last survivor of this reunion. . . . unless someone saved that double cheeseburger. It probably looks the same.
IDK about that but I bet the fries would look the same after 30 years.
The burgers do last over a decade. No joke. A guy found 1 in his jacket pocket over a decade later and even the bun wasnt moldy. Great science.
Ken Osmond died today.
Could probably patch a tire with it. Just saying
UPDATE (six years later): Ken Osmond died on May 18, 2020. All are gone now.
Wow this is really cool,I was stationed in the Navy in Japan in 1989, I missed this one.......so its brand new for me now.😆👍🇺🇸
RIP everyone.
Awesome times in history
Inspector Gadget is in the commercial!
Maxwell Smart, with Gramps Munster, eating a QPC, the drop of melted cheese missed his "sensitive area" by THAT MUCH!!!
love this theres gilligan
Sad that they are all gone
Buddy Ebsen, Don Adams, Al Lewis, Bob Denver---they're all gone...R.I.P
Rest in Peace Don Adams, Barbara Billingsley, Bob Denver, Buddy Ebsen and Al Lewis except for Ken Osmond
charles patterson Not anymore.
Also, did anyone else notice that Gilligan, played by vegetarian Bob Denver, is never shown with a cheeseburger?
McVegan Deluxe
These actors in these McDonald's spots are no longer with us-Al Lewis ("The Munsters"); Don Adams ("Get Smart"); Bob Denver ("Gilligan's Island"); Barbara Billingsley ("Leave It To Beaver") and
Buddy Ebsen ("The Beverly Hillbillies"). Ken Osmond (Eddie Haskell)
is the only surviving star left.
They are with us u just dont see them. Smoke some dmt man you'll know
Ken Osmond is now gone too.
This commercial is definitely from 1989. Don Adams looks exactly the way he did when Get Smart, Again was released (the same year).
Barbara Billingsley lived the longest, having passed away a decade ago (2010) at the age of 94.
Moments to remember!
You played the same commercial twice, but what the hell. Still a better contribution to RUclips than 99% of the stuff that's on here.
Barbara turns 94 on December 22. :-)
I don't remember seeing this great commercial
Great ad campaign! I don't remember watching it, lol. I remember when a McDonalds opened up in Greenwich Village NYC in the 70s and they had hamburgers on sale for 15 cents. I would look for loose change in the sofa and eat the hell out of those nasty burgers as a kid. Better then starving! The last time I went to McDs they were running 1 dollar Big Macs, I think that was the 90s.
I remember being able to get those in the 2000s decade for 99¢.
Grandpa Munster was the best.
Same
Grampa Munster and Maxwell Smart together in a bit, commercial or not great fun!
'89 in 89!!!
Ya these were cool commercials 😎
I loved Eddie's laugh too. Now they're all gone except Mrs. Cleaver and Eddie. Barbara Billingsley turns 94 in December.
11 years later -- they're both gone.
What a cool idea
Awesome! I love it
Sad to know that except for Ken Osmond (Eddie), the rest of these celebrities have passed away being no longer with us today. I ate some Double Cheeseburgers at my local McDonald's a few days ago thinking about how sadly they are not around anymore to even eat what I was eating anymore or even visit a McDonald's.
Now Ken Osmond just passed away.
They get wonderful food in heaven now
(Don Adams) Don't tell me this won't last.
why don't they make commercials like this anymore?
Lots of fun!
Should have had Grandpa Munster say something like "I love sinking my teeth into these!"
And maybe update a joke from the show "Shoot me the plasma" then getting passed the ketchup.
Sad how everybody in this commercial is now dead...except for Eddie Haskell.
He passed away today -- 18 May 2020
Not anymore.
It's always sad seeing something and knowing all are dead, or only one the people in it are actually still alive.
All gone now. Sad.
Look at the glass half full. They're all in a better place now.
