    gt3 4.0L and 6speed is 1 of the last great naturally aspirated sport cars for the street, very few of us race. Real commentary with the limits and characteristics shown without the influencer hype. Andy does know how to drive both fast and on the street for real world enjoyment. $160K is still substantial money for a sports car. Would enjoy a comparison on the PDK winged variant to help push me off the proverbial fence as the dealer will not let me drive both cars this hard.

      I bought a lightly used 2016 M3 competition a couple years ago and had the same choice..6 speed manual or 7 speed dual clutch. Went with the manual and it’s ok, but I’d do 7speed DCT if I could choose again. Gets annoying having to shift all the time. Plus, big interruption in power with manual shifts. Obviously an M3 can’t really hold its own against this beast but I wanted to comment because of having the same transmission choice.

    Best commentary I've heard in a while. Great insights and hell of a drive!

    Great piece on the GT3. I kinda remember Andy from ALMS races back in the day. Thanks for the video.

    Who needs a backdated 911 when you can have this for a lot less money? The engine!!

    This man is the new Chris Harris! I love when somebody reviews a car, is charismatic, and can actually drive!

    Great video, thanks! But that’s an interesting configuration that car: being the Touring version, it’s the same price as the GT3, although it got the normal sport seats, but got the rear seat delete option, it’s on Cup 2, not the PS4 S tires but got the steel brakes, not the PCCB. Real split personality!

    Those ‘cornering shots’ were awesome 👌! You should make that a regular fixture of your vids, although this car is more special than most 😉.

      andy pilgrim NP - keep up the good work. Not many/any car review youtubers have your level of car control, so you might as well show your attributes 😉!

    Great video, but curious if traction control on or off during the lap?

      Sport Plus, as in not all off. I do like driving with all nannies off, but I think it helps people see what the car can do without everything off. The TC/Stab can get in the way very, very slightly with this car, but it's hardly noticeable, Porsche did a great job with it. Obviously I had everything off for the corner shots in order to do drifty stuff...

    Really curious on that loss of the rear end. With the cold tires, do you think your initial input caused the unbalance and slip? It looked like you turned in sharp and quickly.

    • @andypilgrim3896
      @andypilgrim3896 4 года назад +1

      100% yes on that, but, with the tires warmer, the input would not have bothered it... you can actually see very similar turn in input and speed on the lap a day later and on other video's; but it does depend on heat in tire, what kind/make of tires and how much down force each car has....

      He tried to set the front end and rear broke free. Cold track. It’s also lacking downforce compared to typical GT3 with its rear wing.

    But...but...but why would you want a GT3 without the wing???? Then it looks just like any other 911.

    • @MrSWW
      @MrSWW 3 года назад +1

      GT3 Touring is a gentleman’s sport car so you want a discreet lip spoiler instead of the wing.
