    Soo very nice of you to document your experiences with accutane. Your research and unbiased opinion. Would be so valuable to someone struggling with the decision to try it or not. Very good work!👍

    I'm glad my 1st & 2nd month of accutane went well no worse side effects on my acne except dryness & a bit dark eyelid. Now I am on my 3rd month and acne free. :)

    Your skin is looking amazing girl! It's been so interesting following your accutane journey. I have been struggling with mild (but stubborn af) acne for over 4 years myself and it's so annoying. I eat healthy and have tried every prescription topical treatment with no luck. I'm having a skin consultation regarding accutane next week and I'm just praying the doctor will let me go on it this time. How did you convince your dermatologist let you go on it when your acne was so mild haha?

    • @emi1ylouise
      @emi1ylouise  3 года назад +1

      Your skin journey sounds similar to mine in terms of it being mild yet stubborn. I went and saw a private dermatologist first who wrote me a referral letter (saying I should be prescribed accutane) to take to my GP who then referred me straight to a NHS dermatologist and that’s how I managed to get on it. It’s not easy that’s for sure! Good luck with your journey 🤞🏼☺️

    I am on my 15th day and i notice that my face gets darker. Is it because of dry skin and dry pimples?

      Mine didn't but everyone will react slightly differently to accutane. It will get better :)

    I’m really glad you made these videos for your viewers & w these suggestions. Since there has been suicide ideation reported w Acutane, anyone taking it needs to just be aware of that and be in contact w their MD. However, one has to keep in mind that suicide ideation has risen in young ppl to very high levels * regardless*of Acutane. As with any drug, there will always outlier reactions so it’s important to just be aware of, track, and report any concerning symptoms. Don’t worry about other ppl’s experiences on Acutane- just monitor your own! :)
    I went on Accutane as a teenager when it was fresh on the market. 1985 or 1986. Back then I don’t think they monitored blood every month at all. I did have some suicidal thoughts maybe around that time but depression runs in my family. It cleared up my skin immaculately, forever after. I did have the bleeding lips bc I was not doing skin routine, good for you and you look fantastic.
