Great Content. Question, can I find cheaper rent for a studio or 1 bedroom apartment outside of Quito? Doe’s Tumbaco have cheaper rent? How about Lumbisi for cheap rent? I’m looking for rent $300 and under!
I'm married to an Ecuatoriana in Quito and have been to Quito several times... I'll be moving there in a couple of months. Anyways, the way that the Ecuadoreans differentiate the different locations is by the North or the South (Norte or Sur)... and then it breaks down to the different zones like La Carolina, Gonazales Suarez, etc... Tumbaco is in the Sur, and everyone knows El Sur is the much more economically deprived part of Quito... yes, it's definitely cheaper in Tumbaco.. that's where my wife was raised and her parent's house is there.. it's much more dangerous in the South... There are massive properties that you can rent for cheap in the south if you have the money... but just know that the South has a lot more smog, it's much more dangerous than el Norte, and it's very easy to see that it's not as strong economically versus The North. So be wise with your decisions... I would recommend renting an Airbnb in Republica de El Salvador, Gonzales Suarez, La Carolina or Av. Naciones Unidas... get to know or befriend some locals and listen to what they have to say.... I hope that helps you... P.S. - Republica de El Salvador is close to everything! Several shops, the Quicentro mall, coffee shops, everything!

@@christopherhouse7937 Quito as a city is not as dangerous as Colombia.. for the last 8 weeks, each week a foreigner has been killed in Colombia.. but good practice is to always keep your head on a swivel no matter where you are at.... those locations that I mentioned are the safer and middle to upper class areas of Quito.. but point blank, Ecuador is not nearly as dangerous as Colombia for foreigners.... In regards to the women, there are some extremely beautiful woman in all of South America... but the biggest difference that I noticed is that the woman in Ecuador dress a little more modest versus the women in Colombia... but honestly speaking, Colombia is known for the beauty of the woman.. You might see a bit more of the indigenous blood in the major cities of Ecuador... and heads up, Guayaquil is known as the most dangerous city in all Ecuador... so stay away..... but remember... make friends Quito!
