Another variation was pork intestines only sans oyster. Taiwanese cuisine was one of my must tries if I were to travel there. Maybe you'll make some XL fried chicken or their ever famous beef noodles next time.
Looking for "red noodles" one might search for "红面线". In Vancouver (or perhaps Canada in general? not sure) at stores that carry ingredients from Taiwan (or maybe just T&T Supermarket?) you can also find "蚵仔麵線" = "oyster noodles". These are basically the right noodles plus dried packets of cuttlefish stock and chalots, then you add your own oysters and pig intestines. The good packets have very nice, seemingly "fresh" noodles (not dried up like instant noodles, they are still flexible). The packet we've tried (the brand is 古早) makes a very nice soup stock, though it is nice to add fresh onions. For me having the right noodles is the most important part. That particular brand is supposedly "hand made" noodles (though hand made obviously varies a lot in meaning depending on who uses the term).
Can I make a dish with the used bonito flakes and/or dehydrated calamari? What are some dishes that I can make with them? Seems like a waste to toss them. 🤔 Hmm.....
Hi! If I don't want to use oysters or intestines, what can I use?? Something that I can get easily from western grocery shop. They don't sell intestine in Australia grocery store hahaha. Thank you! I love your video. always great recipe and really easy to follow.

Michelle Li go to Asian butcher.
You can also use pork. Hammering some thinly cut pork then coat it with potato starch.
Mee sua can cook so long?
FYI...I have seen red Taiwanese Mee Sua is bigger Sheng Siongs. I believe I saw them at the Serangoon North branch.

Thank you! Your explanations are so easy to follow.
thot need to add black vinegar?
I'm so excited to try this for my Familia! ✌ Thanks for sharing
The small oysters are over cooked after cooking so long and you eat it with a chinese soup spoon not chopsticks!
why dont you fry shallots in bulk They keep a long time. Slice thinly, sprinkle tapioca starch flour , mix and fry in hot oil
i wont mind eating this minus the oysters! haha =p
Yum. Without oysters is good too. You can add shredded chicken instead. Happy cooking!
Help your tex slow please
seems a little too oily. personally i'd add some veggies such as baby bok choy or even black mushroom. Overall I appreciate the recipe
Awesome 👍 👍 Have a great weekend ❤️ and God bless you and your family 🙏 🙏
Actually your 1 tea spoon is a rice spoon?
Good morning bro. 😊🙏🌈
I loveeee mee sua, but I hate oysters 😭 if only there is another version of taiwan's popular mee sua😬
Looks yummy but the off-putting ingredient is cleaning the pigs’ intestines - too much work!
How many watched until the pig intestines?! You lost me! Lol
It sound like Singaporean english
This dish was looking really nice until you added the pig intestine 😳😳😳
