- This short video is a 2 year follow-up review of my tentbox lite 1.0
After 2 years of use in pretty much all conditions from a new year trip to the Scottish Highlands in sub zero conditions to an enormous ground tent wrecking storm in Wales, this tentbox has held up very well.
If you would like any Tentbox from a lite 1.0 to a range topping Cargo, please use my discount code. found in the video, or dm me for £50 discount.

Thanks for posting this. I live in Florida and rent is getting so expensive I'm seriously thinking of either converting the inside of my car into a camper or getting a tentbox. Thanks also for mentioning about holding up in windy weather as the official is 39 Mph which isn't a lot for Florida but it is Gale force 7/8
I can see it held up nicely for 2 years. My only concern is where to put the solar panels?
@John-wp1rw I have
Jackery solor panels which just sit on the ground.
Im really glad you have posted this because I am trying to choose one . I like the size and price of this but was gutted theres no pod thing available but you have an awning I see.. more research needed :)
The awning was a game changer, I've seen and been in the living pods and yes they look nice, but not as practical as an awning room.
Hiya! Where did you get the anti condensation mat from! Struggling to find one the right size :)
I went ont the venture tents website.
Is your car a Dacia Logan? I'm going to buy a tentbox in the sale this week and my car is a Logan, have you found it massively affects the handing/fuel consumption when the tentbox is on?
I get around 42mph around town and about 47 to 50 on a long run. Mine is the petrol version.
It's a very good car, loads of room, cheap to run .
What is that electric box you have in your tent box? And where did you get your mattress covers from in your tent box please?
Hi, the electric box is called a jackery,
The mattress covers are from tentbox, they are Down blankets
Have you got a link to your anti-condensation mat?
I bought it off Ventura roof top tents website.
What brand and model is the awning/side enclosure you have?
My awning is by Tentbox and the awning room is an ARB.
@@darrenclarke4859 thank you my friend!
How was it been with the weather? Say high winds and cold weather ?
The tentbox has been very good in high winds, 2 years ago we were camping on Shell Island with about 10 other tentboxers and a few ground tents, a big storm came in , all the tentboxes survived unscathed, but my kids dome tent was destroyed ( they slept in the car in the end) Numerous other ground tents also got annihilated.
Our awnings had to be put away before the storm as they wouldn't have survived either.
Also we have camped in sub zero conditions, new year in the Highlands of Scotland.
I have a RUclips video showing that.
Can I ask, how often did you keep it on your car over those 2 years (ie did you only put it on for trips or leave it attached for most of the 2 years)?
If you left it attached, was your car generally parked in the open air/not a garage?
I’m trying to work out how durable it is if it’s relatively permanently left on a car!
Hi, thanks for watching, coincidentally I have taken it off the car today for the first time in 18 months as I'm going on a long journey tomorrow and want to increase my fuel economy.
Apart from the writing on the cover fading, everything is still great.
@@darrenclarke4859Amazing, thanks for replying.
Are they well secured so they can’t be stolen if your off hiking??
Yes it's bolted to the roofrack, and the roofrack is locked.
It would be easier to steal a ground tent.
You can buy security nuts for them which are relatively cheap and gives you extra peace of mind
How many people can sleep in?
2 people can sleep comfortably, maybe 2 people and a small child and a dog at the feet at a push.
