Notes:
Mythology is a tough puzzle to piece together, because these stories are thousands of years old. This is true for any mythology, including the Norse one. With every tale, there are many different versions that were told in various regions over time. For the sake of this video - and all my videos - I try to streamline these as much as possible and leave out some details that make the videos…more fun. Many historians make this stuff so boring because they get caught up in details that are much less relevant than the bigger picture. I'm not gonna do that.
So... is this accurate and well researched? Absolutely, 100%. Is this the only interpretation or way of recounting these tales? No, but subjectively speaking… it’s the way I liked it the most.
Get All My Artwork & Support The Channel:
I get a lot of questions about my artwork and where it’s from or rather who draws it. Well the answer is that I create it - I don’t draw it. I use AI to create the artwork, using specific prompts, specific style influences from 18th and 19th century artists, and I spend about 6 hours per video just on the artwork. Each video has roughly double the artwork of what you actually see in the video, so a lot of it is unused. The good news here though is that you can get all that artwork on my Patreon - the artwork I do use, and the artwork I don’t use. Plus, by subscribing to my Patreon you are making a major contribution to Briefed and helping me to keep this channel going, because this is my full time job and the survival of the channel and quality of the videos greatly depends on said support. In return for supporting, you get more than the artwork though - you also get exclusive videos and producer credit, as well as access to a producer group that gets to vote on thumbnails, gets behind the scenes etc.
If you choose to become a Patron - thank you. I do not take it for granted.

Odin had to give an eye, so he could look as much into his own soul as he looked at the world. You have to look at yourself to gain wisdom.
Beautifully said
except thats not true
other way to look at it might be is 'to learn new perspectives and new things you have to unlearn your current perspective and perceptions'
@@singer9970 no it was just to learn female magic
@@alteredbeast7145yes it is. That is the main difference between wisdom and knowledge.
Bro this is literally the best. I’ve been meaning to rewatch the norse playlist and you dropped this at the right time😭🔥♥️

The Slick Rick of ancient storytelling
It's funny how how often than not the Giants are either seeking revenge for something the gods did or they're playing tricks while the gods are always the ready to kill or screw them over first and yet the gods are the good guys
Yea, because that's obviously how the Norse people wanted to interpret the myths. Let's just invent new interpretations and say that's my opinion. The gods aren't heroes they're just evil.
Bro you’re an inspiration. I love history and you talk about it exactly how we would talk about history with our friends.
I love this so much! 2 hours and Norse Mythology too, man this is great♥️
Great to hear them back to back. Helps reinforce the learning in the mythology. Still looking forward to a family tree and charts/timeline of these… Greek, Norse, etc. Gets complicated. Chapter references and a pause for the charts, too.
Awesome storytelling! Keep it up!
My day just got better

LONG FORM CONTENT!!!! YEEEEEHHHHSSSSSS
Just gets better and better. I’m looking forward to the Egyptian gods!
Great video my man, I'm a big fan. The only thing I'd suggest is turning down the volume with that new transition because it's super grating to people with good speakers and sensitive ears. Had a blast watching as always!
Thank you for all you do. Added on to that you so funny.
The world serpent was raised in secret by loki until it grew too big and Odin threw it into the ocean so very similar lol but I love your version way more ❤
this was amazing!!
thank you 😊 and thank you for watching
2 hours video of Norse mythology by Briefed! Christmas must’ve come early.
I love this thank you😊
thank you for watching 😊
Thank you sir!
Thanks for the movie, we ran out of popcorn. Great job.
Lol I knew most of this stuff lol but you taught me even more details about these stories and I thought Lokis poison bowl had a hole in the bottom that allowed it to leak onto his face aways and when she went to empty the bowl she spills some onto him in the process of trying empty the bowl and I though hel was offered the position of helhiem ruler and to keep the order and peace of helhiem and that it was an honor for her to have that perfect position so you definitely gave way more details and overall captivating way of tell these myths
Time for me to get some chicken wraps its bout to be a good one
enjoy 🫡
You should cover the ennead next, that would be so fire 🔥
planned very soon 🫡
Ay, you actually did a Norse Mythology vid!
2 hours?!?!? Dope
Its amazing how many body-building gyms there were in ancient Scandinavia.
Can't wait for you to talk about Cyrus The Great!❤
Hell yea I'm alway rockin my mjolnir I feel ready for this video 😂
I've read so many books and documentry of the Norse mythology. All have different twists. One of Loki punishment ( which I can't remember what he did. As he did lost of bad things.), was trapped in a tree. And only way he could get free if someone shard a tear for him. As no one liked him. That not going to happen. After yesrs or centorys. He was able to control the the tree. When a godling walked by. He control a leaf to make the warrior drop a tear. So, freeing him. Someone told me that the word hell, came from the goddess of the dead. Hel. But I never researched it. Another name for Oldin was Wolden. From the German people. Knew a lot.but, learned a lot as well. Maybe because am British .didn't get many of the jokes today. I but still a lot of fun. Thank you and happy Easter. 🎆🎉👽👍
I have you thought about covering any Celtic gods by chance? Been trying to learn more about their mythology in recent years myself.
I ove the repeating..it pounds it in❤
Here early gaining knowledge
The Rage Against the Machine reference actually took me out. *Subscribe*
15 minutes and 30 seconds in... bro you had it right!! They called it ale and not beer ( least for a long long while lol) ok back to it now😂😂
Wait a minute - Loki had a son who was a wolf - Loki's a trickster who supposedly died - you tell these stories with a dog in the background - am I the only one who sees this!
I've listened to 1 minute plus or never minus the humor. R u single? Seriously, I loved the edumacation thus far MORE MORE
You're leaving out quite a bit He went to the wedding with Loki. He had the dwarf's craft hair. For Thor's wife. But it's amusing because you're a pretty good storyteller.
