What a smooth, and beautifully arranged song, by Bobby Caldwell, and his band. This song brings back very pleasant memories when I was a teenager, when we use to jump from one block party to another, back in Queens. Every song that he wrote, was meaningful. Im here baby..
This really one of the greatest songs of all time 💯🔥💜
This man’s voice is nothing but soul, no wonder everyone thought he was black. Just goes to show we’re not all that different from each other.
We are not my dear. Wish people would realise this. We're all humans.

OH , PLEASE SOUL HAS NO RACE . SOUL IS SOUL .ACCEPT IT .
I was one of many who thought this smooth singing magician was Black.

My son has autism, he loves your music and it helps him relax and become super stimulated. He’s 10 years old. God bless your soul. Rest in peace legend.
Your son has excellent taste in music!
Isn't he the same as me?
Thanks for stating that he has autism.

I was just jamming this yesterday and found out he passed today 😢 RIP 💫 Gone but never forgotten. He sung this with SOUL
He died in his sleep too
He's a human being that can sing . It's not about color. I love him.
Oooh Color is absolutely important!! He's a card carrying member of the village❤❤❤
I sent the video to my sister and she said, “He’s pretty good. He sounds just like the original”. 😂

Who’s still listening in 2033? 55 years later!
I will be, if I can! 2024.
Right
i’m just leaving my pass here for another 9 years
forever - if its love passion it'll last forever..as long as there is someone to interpret it! will it still exist if there is no one to receive it? will a tree make a sound if falls on the ground and there is no on there to hear it?
Time flies huh
That Old Boy, HAD PIPES!!!!!!!!!!! REST IN PEACE, MR. BOBBY CALDWELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He would've been 73 if he was still alive today
@@christianbenn316 that's relatively, young!
I’m 52 years old and I listen to this song countless times. This is one of my favorite songs and I had no idea the singer was white. Wow! Beautiful song.
We Black Folk Fk with Bobby Caldwell..This is Our Jam!. R.I.P Brother B. Caldwell Thank you
People of all skin tones can, and do, love Caldwell's music--especially this offering. Whites LOVED Motown, too!!
Music is and has always been universal

Well said!!!!
That's a fact.
The issue is black people don’t get the money 💴 their music generates like other ethnic groups, most of our black artist die broke. That’s what needs to be fixed .
Louis Satterfield told me this fact, many Moons ago. Nothing new under the Sun. Igziabeher...
Rest in power Sir Bobby Caldwell. Thank you for this soulful song. 🙏🏼
Even in 2024 so great to hear this timeless classic!
Absolutely love this tune one of my all time faves ❤

Rest in Peace Bobby this is a masterpiece 🕊️
Thank you, Bobby. So glad your musical gift is still being heard.
Don't judge a person by the color of their skin; judge them by the music residing in their heart; it is a love song.
Exactly ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank. You.
Alright maybe because I'm kind of new to this guy, I've been watching David Bowie instead but who the hell cares that this guy is white? And how was it a question?
💯
@@claymationgloves3662 no it's just weird cause it's like Rick Astley and how he has the black singing voice, its nothing really to do with race is it
He has no idea how strong he is to attached to the black community ❤ I’m not in love or heartbroken right but needed to hear this for my soul so bad 👑
🙏🏾 same here
He did. I saw him in a jazz club in Seattle twice. Such a fantastically diverse crowd. I met him all by myself. We chatted, flirted a little and took photos. He was incredible. We love and miss you, Bobby.
I’m sure he knew....
This comment is racist. Black community? Segregated due to skin color? Comments like this set us back. They are regressive
@@juliabrinkcan you tell us more about this story?
What a smooth, and beautifully arranged song, by Bobby Caldwell, and his band. This song brings back very pleasant memories when I was a teenager, when we use to jump from one block party to another, back in Queens. Every song that he wrote, was meaningful. This man wrote lyrics, that would make a man scratch his head with admiration, by his way of expression. Thank You, Bobby Caldwell, for keeping it smooth. We've definitely lost a Giant, "Physically", but his musical spirit and contribution to the world of music, will forever live on. Rest in beautiful peace, my musical King. You will damn sure be missed.
Where has all the good music gone?
R.I.P. BOBBY CALDWELL. Thank you for this immortal song!
As a child in the Caribbean born 1976, these were the songs I used to listen to on the radio. Those were the days. RIP Bobby.
