He taught himself to play the Hammond B3 organ in High School because he was inspired by the great Mose Alison. He entertained all of us who knew and loved him. But as soon as this song would come on the radio late at night, it lulled me into the most peaceful sleep, and I can't hear it now without thinking of my firstborn and only girl. This man's voice. What a loss to the world when he passed.

I echo the sentiments of those who feel a deep sense of loss in his passing. Many of my childhood memories are linked to the release of this song. It's strange but I feel as if I lost a relative and/or a piece of my childhood. So I'm glad to know that I am not alone. I will never hear him sing this song live but these videos give me what I will never have in this life. Rest in paradise Mr. Caldwell. 💔

I was 17 back in 78 when this song came out. I loved it then and it’s only gotten better with time. Bobby in this live performance still sounding great after so many years. It’s all about taking care of that voice and Bobby seem to have done just that. So much great music and artists from that era. I feel so blessed to have been there to enjoy it in real time. Peace out.✌️
