Thom has said he wrote Reckoner after he had a dream so good he didn't want to wake up. I always think of that when I hear it. Especially how the song kinda lets itself go in the end and slowly fades out, like a dream slipping away as you try to hold on to it.

"Nude" was a song they kicked around for years and played live but didn't record for an official release. If you ever find old bootlegs of their shows from the late 90s, you'll find tracks with early working titles, like "Big Ideas" for this song. There's a world of Radiohead music that isn't on their LPs.

What you need to do is listen to is In Rainbows from the basement where they do these songs live (along with a kid A tune a couple of HTTT tunes and an IR b-side) the only song they don't do is Jigsaw because Thom has a problem singing it (I think). The two basement sessions are among the best live music sessions iv'e ever heard and i'm almost 60 and iv'e heard a lot of live sessions. If you want to react to it the In Rainbows one has no copyright issues but the other one for The King Of Limbs does so beware.

They don't get much attention in the music reaction communities I see on YT but they are absolutely beautiful albums, and to me at least I think they are on the same level as Radiohead when it comes to albums that just have a very unique and consistent vibe throughout the whole record that makes you feel things you've never felt before.

By the way, there is a In Rainbows Disk 2, released some years later, with the tracks they recorded while putting together this album that for whatever reason they didn't think quite fit. You'd be making a terrible, terrible mistake not also listening to those songs. I can't even listen to In Rainbows anymore without immediately listening to Disk 2 right after.
Similarly, there is a second disk to OK Computer released as OKNOTOK, that has some of the songs they often play live at concerts that date back to the OK Computer days but never before released on a fully produced studio album. Longtime fans were thrilled to have a proper studio recording instead of resorting to bootlegs from concerts.
Kid A had something similar, with the album Amnesiac, which was released very shortly after Kid A, but is populated with the tracks they didn't think fit on Kid A, but were recorded in the same sessions. This can also be found in the compilation set "Kid A Mnesia" that combines both together.
Anyway, I hope you'll continue listening to and reacting to more Radiohead in the future.

You have to experience Spirit of Eden by Talk Talk, and that's exactly what it is, an experience. You can't really categorise it in a genre, cos it's in a world of its own, but it's like a combo of rock, jazz, ambient, and classical music, it's very entrancing. The backstory to this band is just as fascinating as the album itself. Radiohead were partially inspired by them, too, especially for their later material!

Ngl... All of their albums are awesome. The King of Limbs is ridiculously underrated. Go to The Bends or Kid A next, then just go in order of release. I stg, you will not be disappointed. Save A Moon Shaped Pool for last.

React to Big Thief! They got on my radar with their two 2019 albums UFOF and Two Hands. Great band imo. Adrienne Lenker also released a few solo albums.
Also Sufjan Stevens, if you havent heard his albums in full.
What genres / types of music are you into?

Reckoner is the best song on this album after dozens of listens.

Hard for me to pick a favorite, but Reckoner is a very strong contender.

You should check out imaginal disk by Magdalena bay. it just came out last week and it’s already one of my favorites of the year. Its pretty different from what you have been listening to on here since it’s a synth pop album, but I think would would enjoy how good the production is on it

I love your pure reaction! I'm sure you will get a ton of recommendations so i will keep things simple: PJ Harvey, if you don't know her already. Just start with "Dry", her debut and follow her discography chronologically. She's amazing and her output is dense and she never disappoints...

It's their best album in my opinion. In Rainbows and The Bends get the most play in my house. Kid A ,Revolver ( Beatles) are a close second 😊

There was somewhat of an agenda around it's release, because it was the first-ever major artist album given away for free on streaming. But the songs didn't have an agenda.
