This album is my alltime favorite, from the beginning to the end. Thanks for your genuine reaction to it, it was a great time (of course I'm being emotial after hearing it once again, leave me alone)

Since a lot of what you're enjoying is the _sound_ of the album - quite understandably - it's worth giving a shout out to Nigel Godrich, the band's longtime producer and sometimes called "the sixth member of Radiohead". That tickling of your ears is in large part due to his genius.

This album is the definition of grief and while extremely hard to listen to I think the instrumentals and the way Phil sings has such a special almost lullaby feel it's some how comforting while being unbelievablely sad

I stopped listening to new bands after Radiohead. There was just no point.

2:21 & 4:52 & 5:55 it’s so beautiful to see those first moments where someone stops resisting the raw , haunting futuristic emotion of the album and just lets it all go flowing all throughout them

No Surprises riff has been my ringtone for the last 5 years. I was your age in the 90's and I while I knew Radiohead, I never really paid much attention to them. I rediscovered them in my late 40's and would now list them in my top 5 bands of all time, mostly because of this perfect album.

imagine seeing Let Down live. it returned to the setlists as a surprises after many years absent. they even opened their Manchester show with it in 2017 (venue changed after the attack on the arena at an Ariana Grande show). imagine that!

Loved this. Cried at your reactions. I've loved this band since before their first album. If you haven't listened to 'Blow Out' live at the Astoria..you should give it a go. It's nuts.

Great reaction. Awesome album. The general theme of the album is a wish to escape, be it escape via death, suicide, or even being taken by aliens. Even in No Surprises the backing vocals confirm this ("get me out of here" multiple times). Escaping from oneself, escape from an ever more commercialised and computerised world, it's all about escape of some sort. Listening to the album gives a sort of escapism feel, an outer body experience at times. But where it is often incredibly melancholic, by The Tourist you're kind of brought back down to earth with the "Hey man, slow down!" Lyric.

If you like emotional art like this you NEED to react to Circa Survive. Every album is like post hardcore Radiohead

I saw a Radiohead tribute band a few days ago and it made me want to dig this album out again and play the whole thing front to back, for the first time in years. With the exception of My Iron Lung this is still a 10/10 album for me. Despite what some Radiohead fans say, it's up there with their best work still (OK Computer still the best for me, but only just).

While I hate to recommend this album because of it's sad nature, it is also one of my favourites, and I think you can do it justice because you have such an amazing way of conveying your emotions and opinions on the sad/warm/sweet music you react to on your channel.
