I think most of this subclasses are not really strong or tought out because Matt came from Pathfinder, and didn't really know 5e all too well (i hope i don't get crucified for this), but still have flavour and are funny. The classes in Explorer's Guide to Wildmount are more well rounded because experience, and that's it i think. Awesome video, man!
Great review, and can't wait for the blood hunter video! I'm planning to implement blood hunters and blood domain clerics into my campaign as members of a secret league of assassins that kill using hemocraft to further their leader's worship of an old eldritch being. One of my players wrote into their backstory that their entire family was slaughtered by assassins called Bloodroot, so this was of course the natural conclusion!
@@MonkeyDM I've been playing it for about 4 years and I honestly love the campaign and the subclass. He is a lovable party animal who likes to help others. He uses the Blood Domain features as a last resort powerful boost since the bloody forceful element of his magic freaks him out.
Any class that is officially recognized by Wizards that has gone through playtesting. But tbh, let your player play any class they want. If you're worried about balance, sit down with your player and impose restrictions. Dont limit your players or take away their agency. The biggest way your player is going to lose interest is if they're playing a class they dont really wanna play.
I played an 8 month long campaign as a Totem of the Duck Barbarian because my friend said I'd die instantly. I have to say, it was surprisingly useful in a campaign that took place entirely in a swampland.
Considering the guest player that played Lionel (Jon Hader), I am fairly certain that Totem of the Duck was made with a heavy dose of humor on purpose. Lionel using his “duck” abilities was the only other cringe moment in CR campaign one next to the Orion incident.

I agree with that, his most recent designs have a much better polish. Which makes sense!
Of course the Totem of the Duck is a D-tier subclass (also known as the Duck-tier).

Background for a potential blood cleric: joined the faith after a previous suicide attempt.
That could be an idea for sure!
Blood domain clerics sound pretty metal..
It does indeed!
I actually play a blood domain cleric in a long running campaign
How is it going so far ?

Oh, man, thank you! I knew this subclasses existed but i didn't knew where did they come! This is good to know, i would love to play a Maestro tbh.
Ayyyyyyyyyyyy Danka for reviewing them it's brilliant
Always enjoy your content, mon ami. Merci comme d'hab.
Love the video but which classes to you recommend for dms to allow players to play? Balance wise to make it fun for all players

I liked the new scenario but it's missing fluff
Man are you romanian? This is not the first time I see a reference like the romanian word "sanatate"="cheers".

Blood for the blood god, skulls for the skull throne!
Wrong franchisee?
You could start making Pathfinder content. That way you don't support WotC/Hasbro and their, quite frankly, atrocious behavior.
