This is why we need to take domestic abuse and stalking seriously. He has done this before. He will do it again. There were chances to catch him and intervene before this, they clearly weren't taken. This could have been so much worse.

This is an example of the trivial triggers within an abusive relationship.. if he kicked off over a bar of chocolate imagine the control he has over not only her whole life but the fear instilled should she do anything remotely bigger than this that he could behave even worsely over.. that's the point of a controlling relationship it can be around the most subtle and mundane of things right the way through to everything..
