    Can we acknowledge that Bron has generally left defense to get handled by other players on his teams for most of his career?? In Miami, he 100% allowed Birdman, Battier, Haslem, and others to set the defensive tone; none of those players looked to Bron. Bron looked to them. In his second Cleveland stint, he had Tristan, Shump, Birdman (Again), Bogut, and Love. There has never been a game(s) or a series that Bron has wholly taken over defensively. What do they always say? Bron always makes the RIGHT basketball decision, which is why Bron has been delegating leadership responsibilities to other teammates his entire career. He knows he's not truly a defensive-minded player. If he was, why didn't he take the challenge and win DPOY after he felt Marc stole it from him?? He'd rather say it was stolen, than prove it and go win it.

And they already said that Jordan defensive stats back them was bolster and a lie to make him look good. Jus use Google people. What I believe is IMPORTANT to note is this: LeBron is not ALONE in the group of SCORERS who only play ONE SIDE OF THE BALL in the last 10 - 15 years.
    Check this list out and PLEASE NOTE IT. Of this generation of great scorers KEVIN DURANT, STEPH CURRY, JAMES HARDEN, KYRIE IRVING, LUKA DONCIC, DAMIAN LILLARD, JASON TAYTUM have NEVER made an ALL DEFENSIVE TEAM in their careers. All NBA...YES! But never been selected to an ALL DEFENSIVE TEAM. Also, the last All Defensive Team LEBRON was on was in 2014...10 YEARS AGO! That should speak VOLUMES to how little DEFENSE has been pushed in this generation and scoring has. And these are considered some of the best SCORERS of this generation. Hmmmmmm interesting! An elite defender is elite when he/she is such a force on defense you have to respect that, so LBJ is not elite at defense, never has been, but he reads the game so he is great at the helpdefense, hence the chase down blocks. Nobody is elite on offense if your impact is non impactful for your team. So KD is elite on offense, cause he has impact, Shaq was elite on offense cause his scoring has impact on winning, LBJ is not elite on scoring cause his points dont really amount impact since he mostly gets to up his points during garbage time, look at the games please... CP3 is elite at playmaking, just look at his career, everywhere he went the team went up in standings and points....

    Lebron being called “the best all around basketball player” or “the best two way player” is a bold faced lie because half the game is defense and LeBron is not a defender. Just because you’ve got some cool chase down blocks does not make you an elite defender.

    Trae has always played harder on offense you can literally look up his scouting report before he made it to the nba and it’s spot on how he has played TILL this year. That’s why my hawks are having more success he’s actually playing less selfish basketball. That’s why his ppg is down but his APG is up I love it. Dyson Daniels literally woke up the team with his defensive mindset. Crazy a 3rd year 21 year old player has to show a 7th year what a winning formula of basketball looks like. 😂😂😂😂

    I consider LeBron a legacy player at this point of his career. I dont really expect him to shut people down on defense every night. The guy is in his what 22nd season at 40 years old. The most minutes played all time, 2nd most played games or something like that. He's done his work. Its up to these younger players to carry the load and become real Superstars. And the NBA needs to get back to promoting players the way they used to.

    The lady made more sense than those dudes. J Kidd was a passer. He passed the ball to elite scores. What makes u elite offensively is strictly scoring. Shaq was elite it doesn't matter how u score but that u score and can't be stopped from scoring.

    Look the league follows its face. When Magic and Bird was the face of the NBA they brought in a level of competition which made everybody want to compete. MJ, hard work ethic, competitive natural spread across the league. Kobe similar to MJ maintained what Jordan brought to the league. Then LeBron came in and turned everything around he was the chosen one and the league followed his path. Lack of wanting to compete building superteams, not participating in all star events, not giving his all on the defensive side etc...

    You can tell on this panel who has played ball before. Because an elite play maker or passer does not make you a elite offensive player. Being able to shoot 3-pointer mid range layups pass the ball have correct court vision being able to grab rebounds set picks knowing when to past the ball being able to score in the post. That is a elite offensive player

    • @kyronwilson5399
      @kyronwilson5399 4 дня назад

      This elite title has to stop being put on every one because it becomes hard to differentiate bad, average,good, great n elite player's and to me personally thats why the hall of fame list is all jacked up it's because they are starting to label participating players awarded to the hall of fame

    • @kyronwilson5399
      @kyronwilson5399 4 дня назад

      I need a invite to this panel the guy in the Atlanta Hawks hat. I wanna respond to you shaq was a elite center based upon posting up dominant in the paint versus great centers and you can put him on any team and you would get the same results. Kyle karver could only shoot 3-pointer and he could not play for every team and get the same results he couldn't bring anything else to a team other than 3 point shooting couldn't dribble set picks didn't grab rebounds nor pass shoot off the dribble dunk layup so that comparison is nowhere being accurate

  • @mrshanny82
    @mrshanny82 4 дня назад +1

    Saying that a SPECIALIST is an elite offensive or defensive player is insulting. Bruce Bowen was a defensive specialist. Ben Wallace was an elite DEFENDER. Huge difference. It shows up with the eye test AND the stats. And hell no, Jason Kidd is NOT an elite offensive player and could not score at will and neither could Rajon Rondo. If you don't average at least 15 ppg, you are not a quality scorer. Rondo was pretty much what Ben Simmons would look like if he played fearlessly and with full confidence. Solid all around, but not elite in any specific area

  • @dewanewelch1744

    Shaq was a elite offensive player though. Because he scored at such a rate that he commanded double teams at that point he learned to pass out of double teams which means he became a offensive hub. Being a hub for a offensive is what makes you elite on the offensive end. In that regard yes Kidd was a elite offensive olayer because yes hebwas the greatest at scoring yet he genrated so many points with his play making we have to put him in that group.
    Edit also Kidd was elite at getting to the basket slashing and was legit a 1 man fastbreak. So Kidd was most def elite on offense.

    LeBrawn’s (💪🏼🚫🧠) in his prime was a decent willing defender. His defense against D Rose in the playoffs and the iggy block will always be pointed out as a “gotcha” moments by his rabid fan base. Defense is a hard metric to measure because MJ’s defensive rating was a 102.7 and LeFlop’s is a 104.8. LeHelpless’s 2008-09 was probably his best defensive year with 137 steals and 93 blocks but when compared to MJ’s 87-88 campaign, where he totaled 259 steals and 131 blocks, for a 6’6 SG is one of the many insane stats that separates the GOATS from the podcasters 😂

    Him turning the ball does have a fog in the fight because he demands to have the ball n his hands instead of defer to a point guard. Everything he fies is so right is what it seems. Hw turns the ball over a lot. Not elite but stats make a lot of ppl forget about his extra pressure he puts on his teammates to cover up certain things.

    The NBA wasnt built for elite defence other than the center. You cant touch a player to stop him defensively without picking up a foul. Also great offensive players ARE NOT FORCED TO PLAY DEFENSE BY THE COACH!!? It has always been like that. Do you honestly think a player like Reggie Miller who was a elite shooter who ran off picks could also get gritty and be a dog defensively? Like goin back to Cali "i dont think so"

    Theres just no sense in pride and will for the modern NBA player. Its easy to care about offense, that is what is glorified.
    Defense is ALL heart and hustle..these guys dont care about the game like that, they just want their stats and to look good doing it.
