This video got me back into making chiptunes after over decade away from them. I'm currently in Osaka with a gamboy I bought from Akihabara last week and I'm having the time of my life. Thanks so much for the inspiration and the information!

This could be the best chiptune song I've ever heard! Need to watch this in full, I use my WAV channel for only drum samples, which is restricting what I can do with bass and only leaves me one lead channel
    Bravo! 10/10

@@DEFENSEMECHANISM Really been struggling with getting my bass to sound even as close as yours! Mine sounds super weak! If you ever did a bass tutorial I would be forever grateful!

Very interesting. GameBoy was when I was working abroad for many years, never noticed there was LSDJ until recently. It looks very fun. Thanks for showing how to do it.

I will need to watch this more than once and try harder at lsdj. I bought a smart card many years ago but i never really learned how to use it propperly. I switched to nanoloop mono and two instead (beacause of the sound) but lsdj is more suitable for writing longer compositions. This video is very impressive. Thank you :D

I've never joined an XHB before. It could be useful to expand my skillset, perhaps...
It would also allow me to make a lot more music, as I currently spend 15-30 hours on one track. :P

That was excellent, i loved the 2nd lead, the chord progression and the drop. I was really impress by the fact that you incorpore the mix and the expression during the arrangement. Your attention is everywhere during the process 👏 And did you have a guitaristic background ? I can feel some sort of « guitar licks » in your lead 🎸 Many thanks to share this, it was very intersting for an old 8 bit music lover 🎼

basically just try playing around with it and have fun! feel free to use the manual as a reference but don't feel like you have to read the entire thing. studying other people's save files was one thing that gave me a lot of ideas - all my save files are available at defensemech.com/songs if you're interested in checking them out too!
i also recommend checking out save file walkthroughs - there are some videos on my channel that might be helpful. if you have any questions, feel free to reach out!
