What all-pass filter does is it inverts the phase of all harmonics above the cutoff.
thank you very much!!
Thanks for this! It's so refreshing to see LSDJ tutorials that aren't seven years old.
Right!!
you are one of the best teachers i've ever seen.
your blog articles are so well-presented that you've cleared up stuff i've been confused about for 10+ years.
looking forward to watching your videos.
This was SUPER helpful for understanding how to use and navigate the WAV synth. Thanks so much for putting this together!
Never before have I been interested in actually learning hexadecimal. Here we are!
Really appreciate this!
"So, let's talk about what the wav synth is for a minute..."
Thanks for sharing the knowledge 🤘👍😘
Man, this is _really_ cool!!! When I was reading the manual I thought I'd have to manually draw 16 waveforms in order to be able to use the wave channel, but now I suppose that this is rarely done. I loved the explanation about the harmonic series, thank you for that! I personally don't really enjoy tinkering to create cool sounds if I have no idea what I'm doing, and it basically comes down to luck to get a neat sound. The live waveform display in LSDj makes this so much better, too. :D
I have two questions: could you explain what causes the clicks in the last few minutes of the video? (starting around 38:00)
If I do want to go for a single waveform created myself, can I still make it increase or decrease in volume?
Thanks again for the video!
Those clicks where you see E00 are caused when the wave channel goes from playing a wave to playing silence - they're especially pronounced because the wave is playing at full volume before E00 (so you don't really hear the click when the wave goes from E00 to a quiet wave, only from loud to silent or vice versa).
For user-created waveforms, I'd recommend checking out the "W.F" feature in the synth, which I cover in this video ruclips.net/video/did-uubwRhM/видео.html
@@DEFENSEMECHANISM I'm still using 8.5.1 as that is the latest stable version, is there no way to automatically generate lower amplitude versions of a user-created waveform there?
@@607 unfortunately, no. hopefully we will have a v9 stable soon (however, every time i say this, some new bug is discovered...)
DEFENSE MECHANISM Thanks!
@@DEFENSEMECHANISM Fortunately it is possible to copy waves to another wave, that makes it a lot easier to do manually. ;)
The article links in the description unfortunately doesn't work anymore! I think I like this video, though. :)
Thanks for letting me know! I've updated the links to the correct locations :)
Can I have a custom length of a pattern, like not 16 notes? Thanks for detailed vid!
well, you can't have a phrase greater than 16 notes, but if you want to skip to the next phrase before the 16th step, simply place an H00 command where you want the phrase to end.
