LSDJ is the single best music program I have ever used and without it I would not have made near the number of chiptunes I have made. At first the control scheme seems like a limitation, but soon enough I found that having all of the program's functionality right at my fingertips all the time allowed the program to feel more like a conduit to get music out of my brain than a tool that I have to input my musical ideas into. The workflow is quick and immediate. That immediacy has made it the single most intuitive workflow I have ever used and I have never been able to find another music program that clicks with me the way LSDJ does. While I adore the Gameboy's sound system, I've been itching to dive into genres/styles other than chiptune, having spent years in the chiptune genre/style. So I've actually been trying to code my own music program that mimics the workflow of LSDJ. I truly love the workflow that much!
Bro... you are too hard on yourself, Rasberry Fields sounds awesome! Keep it up. I used to produce music a long time ago (back when FL Studio Fruity Loops some 20 years ago) I recorded a full album that is on bandcamp, I'm an old and responsible dad now, music consumes too much energy and time, but sometimes I miss it. Maybe I'll get to make tracks for my son, he's a great dancer.
excuse me i have a gameboy dmg very similar to yours mine has the front and the screen with the bracket etc . i was gonna buy a flash cart but i was overwhelmed by the prices , availability etc . finally somebody told me * that also makes videos only he talks in spanish * (my native language) and told me to buy the ezflashjr and no prob . is that a good assesment for someone that just wants to start a alrteady ( i make music , solder kits etc and i hadnt found a situation as finnicky as th eone of what flash cart o to buy . lol ! . if you can help amazing
@@disuko thanks , yeah I was about to buy a cartridge with good memory and ask the person to pre flash it . Let’s see I hope to be between other people creating with the dmg , I have a lot of teenage engineering gadgets but I was on a good roll when I could buy like my “ station” now I’m scrambling cause I want /need an m8 tracker . I’ve seen most wellstablished multi gb acts use a tracker and a op1 I have the op1 8 years ago but the m8 haven’t included it . Though I like the mix to be analog so I bought a bestie (all gear for ants ) 🐜 lol . Hope to be around !
#NewViewer BTW💙💚♥️🖤😎 Have you tried doing a remix/chip tune version of other game music themes?? Like a GameBoy remix chip tune version of Bayonetta???
@@disukoYour welcome. Also, have you ever heard of the Dreams title being released for PlayStation 4??? They have a music composed in there along with the other regular tools for making video games artistic rendering pieces in general. So give it a try if, you haven’t checked it out yet. If nothing else, it’s open source in a way because you can upload your creations to a Dreamerverse mode where, you can play other people’s creations so, you don’t even have to make games if you don’t want to.💙💚♥️🖤😎
@@disukoIn fact, if you do check it out and compose stuff. I’d appreciate a video on the music creation potentiality of Dreams’ tools regarding their ins and outs. Just another idea for a video if, you’d like.💙😎👍🏻

modern music software with the tracker interface is such a cool idea, that’s awesome
they somehow managed to tap into the same muscle memory we learn playing videos games. but for functions and commands in a fantastic audio platform.
This is a great video!!!! I love LSDJ and chiptune as a whole!! The rabbit hole goes so very deep!
You made a nice song too :)

You perfected my childhood.

Came for the chiptunes, got lured by the flawless aesthetics, stayed for the awesome blend of both 😂
@@AzureCrook thank you so much!!
You can do some cool stuff with a game boy. Even Nintendo did a sick guitar solo in donkey Kong 94’ edition on stage 9-8

i use the Ez flash JR and it’s been great! you can also find pre flashed carts that only run LSDJ, which can be cheaper
