There isn’t much aside from the FA Cup being taken more seriously and won at the end of the season. Why do we need the League Cup, it’s an extra cup that means very little to the bigger clubs.

Still so gutted, would've been one of the sweetest league wins I've seen, but you can't deny our quality this season, dominated so many stats that would have usually won the league easy, just one loss equated to missing out, which is heartbreaking. We will come back even stronger, I have no doubt about that..truly can't see anyone else challenging, no one is on ours or city's level..so not concerned by anyone else, just need to be even more of a machine next season...stay positive, because only those Arteta out fools, and "standards" creators still moaning. With their logic you should achieve your goals without working hard, progressing, learning and honing your craft and techniques. Football and life doesn't work like that, all I want is for Arsenal to dominate and win the highest honours, but it doesn't happen overnight..it's a super naïve logic to have. Got to say the end of the season has shown me that City aren’t a big club. They have just made history winning 4 prems in a row and by the Monday after it silence nobody was taking about it, more people watched Klopp leaving than the city title celebrations and more people are talking about Arsenal than city. We would need a new manager to play the same way or he would need to buy and sell players to make the team his own play his way that would take 2-3 seasons and still no guarantees we win the Prem. At the end of the 22/23 season, start of the 23/24 season I said we have to be better. I said we have to get more points, score more goals, concede less and that should get us a title or very least push City further. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough for a title but all those metrics improved year on year.
“Satisfied and happy again” doesn’t describe me as this is the first season I’ve expected or believed we can do something. If it’s the first season I’ve expected us to do something special, and we fell just short then why would I go crazy and ask for major change?
I’m also not one to compare him to Klopp or Ferguson, never have.
He has to win something next season, for sure. Ideally PL, definitely not worried about a Carabao Cup.
Personally I think he has done a very good job overall in his first 4 years as a manager. He has improved us every season. Five years ago we were in the mud. Arteta had to clear out the egos first and then put his stamp on things. I'm 59 and have seen Arsenal win the league 6 times, it's not something we do very often lol but things are positive. If we don't win anything next year then it is what it is. One thing I do know is this is the closest we've been to winning the league since the 2007/08 season, when Eduardo getting his leg broken against Birmingham ultimately cost us the title. Neither Fergie or Kloop where in their first managerial job btw, so to me there's no comparisons to be had with them.
@@TurkishLDN I hear you big man, personally after last season I gave him 2 more years as much as I’m disappointed I also know this squad still isn’t good enough let’s not fool ourselves we’ve not got one world class player we’ve got 3/4 top players but we need that one or 2 absolute game changers, I believe timber is gonna make a massive difference next season.BUT that’s not to say the previous year and this year he’s failed because we’ve been in positions were we had it in our hands and handed to city, we can beat city the last 2 years they’ve been beatable but we’ve come up short mainly mainly because of tactics and mentality and that’s my problem with arteta, but he’s got one more year for me.
