As a Bayern fan im very excited for Kompany. I watched a lot of your games last year and think his style can work really well for us. He was able to dominate when having better players for the level, and that's exactly what he will have at Bayern.
In the UCL especially I think he will be out of his depth quite a bit honestly, his in game management this season has been poor

Sergej Jakirovic is a Bosnian coach who just won the domestic double with dinamo zagreb. i think he would be a perfect fit for Burnley as he fits the football philosophy of burnley perfectly. mistakes that kompany made (like putting trafford over muric), jakirovic can avoid as hes shown to rate players based on performance and new signings prove themselves in jakirovic's system before being put as starters

Hearing that Vincent Kompany is going to Bayern Munich as head coach gave me a whiplash. Like, of all the head coaches and managers, THEY F***** CHOSE VINCENT!? That's insane, and i'm not even a Burnley fan! I wouldn't be surprised if they did even worse next season
I mean to be fair to Bayern, it's less that they "chose" him and more like they went down a long list of managers and he's the first one not to say no. He probably wasn't even in the top 5 on the list.

You playing at TST, that is sweet. I lived in Apex North Carolina which is 15minutes away from downtown Raleigh. Some of the guys from my Sunday Football League were talking about maybe joining TST, but I don’t think they did. Seen the type of players you mentioned, makes me want to go to TST to see some retired footballers.

As a City fan, I have nothing but love Vinny. That said, he is taking a big risk moving to Bayern and I think the outcome will be a binary: he either smashes it OR Bayern have another disastrous season and he'll wish he never took the job. Personally, I hope he does great there, but it is a huge risk.

As a Bayern fan, i am somewhat pessimistic about Kompany.... there are a few positive points obviously....he speaks German, obviously knows how the game works, and has played alongside some of the best in the world, so he should know how to handle the team...i think
but the negatives are just overwhelming for me atm, he was not really successful enough to justify a move to Bayern, he tried to play a system with a squad, that didn't seem to fit his playstyle, and refused to change the system(?)...can someone expand on this one?
it's really hard to see his philosophy in Burnley games since they obviously lost most of them and couldn't get the initiative in the game but yeah idk....
hopefully, I am wrong and he does well for my club, maybe in a year or 2 I look like an idiot but that would actually be great......
Bayern has to work in different ways, mostly because we can't compete financially with the likes of City, PSG, and altogether most of the English clubs since they don't really have to work for their money as German clubs have to, but we are forced to make smart decisions and I feel like the risk with Kompany is simply too high, if that makes sense.....

When I saw the Kompany was going to Bayern I was so confused, I think that there is a problem with our management where we don’t give our coaches and managers enough time to really develop our team right, we expect them to win everything domestically and make it deep into Europe the very same season.
Is it really a problem if it has worked out perfectly for more than a decade? Everyone wants a "project" but then sacks managers at the first sign of anything going wrong.
@@crediblesalamander8056 Yeah I agree with you but I think it’s more about Bayerns spending money, quality of players, and quality of managers over the past decade that has kept us winning the league every year, for the past few years, the board have been hiring younger and less experienced managers with high potential like Nagelsmann and now Kompany, I hope that Bayern give Kompany some time and can improve this team in the long run, we saw last season in the championship that he can achieve success.
