Having owned the original avata and the air 3 (and almost everything else ever sold 😂)... it might be 1db quiter.. but its the pitch. It will sound way way noisier than the air 3. The air 3 is shockingly quiet for such a big drone. All whoops are noisey... not necessarily loud... but noisey. Only going bigger props will make it less obnoxious. The 3.5 inch axis conversion on the original made a big difference. Unfortunately the avata 2 looks to still be 3inch props
@FlybyGuys if its reportedly only 1db "quieter" .... it won't be much quieter .... but looking at the props being used the sound pitch may be lower. So it may scream a little less... but compare to every other 3 inch whoop and there's not going to likely be any noticeable difference... unfortunately. I wish they had gone to 3.5 inch props
A useful segway into FPV, and the battery life is a bonus on these so called FPV drones but they are chunky and cumbersome compared to the specialist builds by the likes of Geprc, Iflight and customer builds.
Its very appealing to me too. Osmo Action 4 camera? Yes please. Better flight characteristics in acro (allegedly), also yes please. My credit card is already weeping and I need to sell one of my current Avatas quickly. 😂
the only thing that would change something for the fpv community is if they would drop those stupid regulations for self build drones... it sucks to be 150m away from everything that brought the fun in flying. im not gonna buy an overpriced dji drone that can't power out of a loop or limit myself to sub 250g
Actually the air 3 as you stated is 81. If the avata 2 is 81,this might well be significant. I have the air 3 and I had the avata so if the avata is anything near the air 3, it will be significant. Of course blade size, human perception of sound as it relates to 1db,will be factors...
Steve, the comparison should be between the Avata and the Avata 2. I have not measured the Avata's noise, and of course the same applies to the Avata 2. My comment has to do with the perceptible difference between two noise levels having a difference of 1 dBA and that is not significant, it's hardly discernable. So far what I've seen from the specs that have been leaked from the Avata 2, I'm not impressed enough to justify making the transition to the latter. Thank you
The noise will definitely make a difference so hopefully not as loud as the first AVATA 😎 great video Stephen 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😎
Avataaaaaah 😂
Cheers Tony
82db to 81db? Is that even noticeable?
Great find on the sound, I would love a quieter Avata 2. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Ron. This could be nice entry to FPV once again.

Thanks for that. Very informative. So, we expect a noisy FPV then 😊

Good information. Stephen, agree with everything you're saying
Glad you enjoyed it

A good entry as you say, but the 'build FPV's' are not easy to fly in many places.
Where are the green intermitent lights at the back needed for the C1?
Good informative video Stephen. I am tempted with this.
Thanks Lyn. Always appreciate your comments and views.
Good info Stephen, might think about getting one!
Great. Let me know, Terry.

Keep the CC level down 😊
@@FlybyGuys Generally I do.. now and again it has a burst, then levels out and stays chilled for a good while 😅
Great information. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you.
Until uk sorts itself out, no, I fly the original avata, but if we adopt something like Europe classification, then defo yes
interesting looking drone looks bigger less noise less power? so maybe not as nimble more cinematic maybe be interesting to see ..good work mate
Less power would be bad. Needs more power.
The speed C1 limit to 67km/h is a joke in FPV 😞 That killed it for me
I agree, but C1 will be very useful for many people. Not all though.
I'm hoping for upgraded camera, upgraded battery and cameras on thee goggles for situational awareness. C lass is of no consequence.
I hope you get one!
Thanks Kris. Let’s see. I’m tempted
one of the better news but still waiting for C1 for AIR2S
Could be a long wait.
I check for the update every day. Very annoying
Interesting facts but it will not be a game changer for me being in UK
Avataaaaaaaah 😂 we love the original tough avatas don’t we Steve 😂
No, but that's the UK for you...
game changer or rather mind changer 🙂
Let me know if you get one 😊
😎🤝
Not going to get Avata. Just waiting when Dji Rc Pro is combatible with Air 3...
It should happen. Even though the different Occusync levels, they can adopts the SW levels.

I agree 💯
No too much money
Fingers crossed
1 dBA difference is NOT a game changer by ANY stretch of the imagination! Sorry
The DB level is not a game changer, and I didn't say that. It's the C class rating that is. But thanks for the useless comment
If this issue is "useless", why did you bring it up? To you it may be "useless" but for many of us noise has been and continues to be a real issue.

It’s a ducted whoop…. It’s going to be LOUD no matter what… especially since it’s heavier than the AVATA 1
