    SEC officiating crew cheating to benefit the SEC team...... SHOCKER!!

    This also happened during the MSU vs. Miami game today and NOBODY NOTICED. I had to rewind it after they went to commercial and MSU got an entire free down. They ended up having to punt and essentially punted on 5th down. The announcers didn't notice. And yet, somehow, I witness the same mistake but the opposite way on the same gameday. This season has been great and exciting so far. But between the targeting calls and this, the refs need to GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER.

      Look, all they did was give Penn State’s 4th down to MSU.

    At the end of the game, Franklin should have come out and said something like, "You know, there's a lot of talk about the SEC being the top division in college football, with teams like Auburn, Florida, Alabama... But I think we can all agree, as we saw tonight, that we shouldn't forget the role their officials play in making the SEC such a noteworthy conference."
    And then play innocent when the league hands down a fine. ;)

      No. He should have called time out and had a discussion with the official before he punted.

      Yup, and they're just as bad in conference games. Unless you're bammer. SEC refs are the biggest joke in NCAA and have been since the early 2000s.

    May as well post the clip of PSU getting the 1st down with our DE on 2nd effort and you can clearly see the refs with their whistles after he gained the 1st.

    At least it did not cost the team to lose the entire game nor affect the final ranking of the entire College Football programs. The famous Fifth Down game between Colorado and Missouri in 1990 did just that. Refs allowed Colorado to score on the last play of the game which happened to be a mistaken 5th down.

    It's baffling how something like this can still occur in this day and age of modern football. I find it hard to believe there is not some way that somebody could have corrected this mistake before it was too late.

    This entire officiating staff needs to be fired! This is inexcusable!
    If your being paid big money to work 1 day a week you should know the rules!
    If we sucked this bad we would be fired as soon as the game was over.

    There were 3 or 4 really bad calls, those two .....grounding and not knowing what down it was but the non call for grounding against Auburn and the forward progress call on fourth down against Penn St. I'm a big Penn St fan for many many years but l really hope the Big 10 sends their very best crew to officiate next years game. Please don't send a bunch of homers like the S E C.

      Penalties usually replay the down, but grounding you lose that down, not the next down too

      Yes, so it went to 2nd down. But they had the marker as 3rd down.

    All Franklin had to do was call time out and talked with the official.

    • @vigneshkrishnamurthy7938
      @vigneshkrishnamurthy7938 2 года назад +2

      He was in constant communication with the nearby ref, showed him the replays on the jumbotron. The ref talked with the other refs via mic, and they agreed that it was 4th down. A timeout probably wouldn't have changed anything. Besides, Franklin shouldn't have needed to call a time out for something this obvious
