As you guys requested here are 5 of my most beautiful locations to build a base in Subnautica: Below Zero. If you wanna see my top 5 locations in Subnautica 2.0 update check this video: ruclips.net/video/0uFxTOi-2SA/видео.html
Not to mention, it has tons of table, coral, as well as lead from the outcrops, compared to the first game lead only spawns in certain areas and you still can’t grow table coral, which means it’s a free abundance of resources, and then you have the deep twisty Bridges for lithium in a enamored glass:)
It would be nice if you could have the base struts go up, so you can have a base that hangs off the ceiling of a cave rather than standing on the floor. And have the glass dome on the bottom with a glass floor. That would be cool to put underneath a glacier or in the crystal cave.
Interesting list. One location I found was... on land, near a lake that, I think had a waterfall at one end. I liked it so much, I essentially quit playing.
I personally like building in the cotton anenome caves. 24/7 illumination, lots of resources, few threats outside the the Lily Paddlers and maybe one Spike Trap, and easy access to the surface if you build right in the central entrance area.
@isabellarios2005 if you go to Pilot llast known location" beacon,it's about 100-200 meters away. It's a giant hole in the middle of the lily biome, with a big rock pillar piercing down into it
Middle of the twisty bridges near the surface is amazing as it’s close to most starter biomes with plenty resources and has lots of fish and flora, also the view is amazing.
I'm going to be boring, and say the Sparse Artic. The area sandwiched between the starting area, the Glacial Bay, and the Kappa Mines. This is not a convenient site, as there's little resources and you havecto go around the island to get to the most important stuff. But it's shallow, flat, and very safe. You can build an expansive base with little to get in the way, and the local penguins and titanhole fish make for nice company. The water is a clear blue, there's ice flows above you for a glass dome view. You can even extend up onto the ice above water.
Been searching for a good location. This really helped! I like how you go from beginner locations to locations for more skilled players. Really nice thanks!
My Top 5 Locations are: Twisty Bridges, Sparce arctic (Eye Jelly swarm), Lilypad Islands (right above Omega resarch), The Biome below Lilypad Islands (That weird red thing), Crystal Caves (near Fabricator cavern) Maybe not in that order but clearly those 5
I'm planning to build a base at the overlap of lillypad island/ purple vents/ the purple tree place. There's a lovely vent garden... Oh and a massive shrimp
Do you have the structural integrity stuff turned off? I notice I can't have too many windows before rooms start filling with water. But if I add reinforcements to one room, it affects the entire base. So I have my production and reactor area heavily reinforced so I can have more windows in the living area of the base.
Yeah I had to abandon my mini-base there, it wasnt even that far in. Too much trouble I'd rather just bring the seatruck or prawn down there and collect what i need and leave
I built my base on one of the eastern glaciers and brought a vertical connector down to the water. Was a fun idea, but I came to dislike how hail would come through the ceiling, and even underwater the view was mostly empty.
ONE reminder for building base in the Cave of Shadow Laviatian will be noticed this kinda creature will exploded time by time ur ' vechicle and prawn suit otherwise build Moonpool outside to dock them in base and for energy power I suggest nuclear power and bio power only.
I decided to base in the twisted biome in my first playthrough wothout knowing anything about the game, and had to suffer for about 2 hours rebuilding parts of the base so i can finally fit the Seatruck dock. Such a pain, should have just switched location then and there
5: crystal caves no way I’m going with the shadow leviathan 4: twisty Bridges I put it on 4 because the bridge Just get in my way 3: lily pad, Islands that glo whales are OK 2: the ice islands well just pretty fine I guess 1: the life pod bro it’s literally your starter base
Hell I have currently 3 bases my main base is tords the top of windy bridge right where the electrical cord is showing I have a land base right by the water I can park my ship then go up and out and I have a base where the purple crystals are located that was super hard to build I have a base on edge of map 995 feet down nothing there but 3 big ass laviathens a emergency base in the mine shaft and I’m trying to build on two more bases
i will ask something guys i really like shadow leviathans and crystal caves and i decided to build a base at crystal cave but i dont know how i can build a good power system for my base?
Marguerit Maida's Base: North lead down to crystal cave West lead to Thermal Plant location with 3 lava pits to place some. Plenty of gold in area to make Power Transmitters to base. Just have to play cat-n-mouse with Shadow Leviathan while linking the base. Other options would be nuke with the rods collected from the Mercury II or Bio fueled by Peepers/Triops (both have 350 value)

Aah, you mean the big flowers area below the lilly pads. Good call, i totally forgot about that one
Were is that at?
@@isabellarios2005 Literally right in the central area directly under the uprooted rock formation.

Fully agree, although it can be a pain to build

Very pragmatic location actually. Build close to the frost anemone and you have an easy source of food and water early game.
The first location you suggested is basically the exact spot I put my base in during my first playthrough the last few days.
Been searching for a good location. This really helped! I like how you go from beginner locations to locations for more skilled players. Really nice thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Y'all are sleeping on building in the tree spires, the view of the Ventgardens is insane!
Really nice video. I love the way you built these bases
How much I love the sounds from the reefbacks
My Top 5 Locations are: Twisty Bridges, Sparce arctic (Eye Jelly swarm), Lilypad Islands (right above Omega resarch), The Biome below Lilypad Islands (That weird red thing), Crystal Caves (near Fabricator cavern) Maybe not in that order but clearly those 5
Nice ones

Great video man! Very helpful
If you build in the purple crystal caves you are a masochist. I don’t know what they did to the shadow leviathans AI but they hunt me insanely fast.
Yeah I had to abandon my mini-base there, it wasnt even that far in. Too much trouble I'd rather just bring the seatruck or prawn down there and collect what i need and leave
The Base on 1:10 reminds me of something 💀🗿

Ty this helps a lot so I will sub
Love the little Jacksepticeye reference with the deep down, dark deep down
I like to have my base at the tree spires. Because you get a Nice view on the yelly thing, and the levithans.
There is food and water here ? How do you find those ?
Really good video 🙌
Thank you 🙌

Trust me i know your pain
What about the arctic spires? I mean there’s a lot of ice worms and snow stalkers but damn that biome looks sick
Is your bases fading in as you get closer a game setting? I played at max and I never saw that, my base was always fully loaded in.
5: crystal caves no way I’m going with the shadow leviathan 4: twisty Bridges I put it on 4 because the bridge Just get in my way 3: lily pad, Islands that glo whales are OK 2: the ice islands well just pretty fine I guess 1: the life pod bro it’s literally your starter base
love the video seems like you play subnautica for the RP
My top 3 is the viod, lilypad, crystel caves. The viod is best
i crafted my base at the place with all the jellyfish
I love it
I love that one top

Chelicerate really is the most terrifying Leviathan in the game. You look into his eyes and you see a cold and soulless creature.
You are right, I see a barbecue, and what terrifies me to no end is the fact that at home i have no coal to grill it properly. Imagine the horror.
@@SurvivalJoe Gettin' goosebumps already
@@SurvivalJoequaking in my boots
My favorite base location is in the fabricator caverns
How do you keep it from leaking. I built one in the shallows and it flooded.
You need to put reinforcement, you can create it with titanium and lithium
Reinforcements

I am 5 months late but use a nuclear reactor.
the best is the forest neer the frozen leviethin cave because the trees
I spent 2 months making bases in every biome in survival I didn't touch grass in two months
i built my base on the lillypads lmao
Why isn't there any good looking biome?
You gotta play subnautica for that bro, this one scks
Can anyone tell me why all of the sudden I have no controller option in pc and my xbox controller no longer works on my pc?
