One thing I noticed about the precursor themed vehicles is that they were very boxy. Which makes sense at a first glance because the buildings we find in the game are very boxy but I'd imagine them being advanced enough to know how to construct vehicles that are hydrodynamic considering that humans have for millennia and also that the warpers are also artificial (and they aren't boxy) which sort of confirms that they weren't obsessed over making things boxy for the sake of it. The rest of the design of them is pretty good though imo.

I love the SEAL way more then the Beluga, but the differences make the SEAL almost impossible to play with compared to the Beluga. 2 docking spaces, the dynamic driving, and the slenderness of it make it just 1000x better then the SEAL in game. They should really update the SEAL with at least having 2 docking bays and the dynamic driving feature. That would be enough for me to pick it over the Beluga
I love the seal sub too, but it has MASSIVE CRITICAL BUGS! Your base gets basically deleted & your docked vehicle goes infinitely flying once you relog

BUG FIX Docked vehicles flying away (implemented a safety check to stop it from getting pushed away beyond 20m. Fixing the actual problem itself would require a backend unity change, which is unfeasible for a mod) 2. BUG FIX Pink UI (when loading a save without quitting to menu, the UI would have a pink color and be largely uninteractable. This was because the cyclops prefab was unloaded between save loads, so we now clear any cached materials to fix stale references) 3. BUG FIX Base pieces would vanish from either the sub or any built bases when the player loaded a save from either inside the sub (removing non-sub base pieces) or outside the sub (removing base pieces from within the sub) 4. If considering using this in a playthrough be warned; your base is at risk of pulling a Houdini (disappearing) and the sub sometimes freaks out and launches through the stratosphere!" The Seal is more mobile base than submarine. You can't fit it into the lost river, so you'll need need another sub for deep exploration. Not to mention the lack of defensive options for predator encounters.
But that would make it more interesting would it not? Like it’s way cooler to have subs specialized for certain things so there isn’t an “all in one” that you would use all the time which would keep you from getting tired of the same submarine all the time, although it can’t fit into the lost river it could serve as a fantastic staging point for your prawn suit or other deep sea vehicle to be launched into the lost river from, I see your point either way and respect it!
