Found this on RUclips a few years ago and it got taken down sometime between then and now. Downloaded it around 2014-2015 when it was still up because it is the only HQ 60-second version to ever exist.
Fun Fact, the 1999-2003 BBC news 24 theme was actually used on this countdown.

Hey, Monkey1 on a different account here. I didn’t realize that I had the one of the only full copies of this countdown in existence back in 2019 until I searched for it on RUclips and could only find a mock and a 16s version and that most old countdowns had been taken down by the BBC themselves, including this one that I reuploaded.

I've always loved this version - music and graphics. I mean, it was like a metaphor for the end of days due to global warming. An overheated, melting world with a massive human population devouring everything left alive and then, in a final proud human moment... unleashing full atomic destruction across the globe in some grim, typical human conflict. The world as The Legacy of Man - a charred, glowing husk, after the last trumpets and French horns have defiantly blown. Worked for me.
Don't forget the giant mutant chickens taking over the world and making chicken noises every other second
And the giant floating numbers counting down our days
I'll go download this, as a precaution to because it can get taken down again.

@@monkey1464 Yeah. I've seen versions of the 2003 countdown get copyrighted.
It's rare to find a 60 second version now, sadly. What I find surprising is that back then, I couldn't upload the full 2007 countdown. It immediately is deleted. Then I tried again yesterday, and the BBC doesn't take action.

@@RyanOnRadio Happened to me in 2019. Uploaded an edit of a BBC Countdown to use the 2008 WN soundtrack and the BBC took it down.
It was the best intro
0:48 not really a fan of this countdown because of its abrupt-sounding ending here. Similar case for Persian countdown in 2009.

Actually its 2 0 0 1 , not 2 0 0 2 ...
The 2001 version used a slightly modified 1999 News 24 theme tune.
