@@davidjoshea4064 how is music dead (perhaps it’s another definition of music [more of the social aspects of it]?) i find that because of audio compression/use of signals and signal processing, experimental audio and music has become much more possible, resulting in a wider variety in the world of sound. there are now more methods and techniques in music production to express whatever one wants to share in audio as an artform, and the different codecs/evolution of standardized codecs leave a lot for limitations as a medium to be broken/stretched to its limits.
I hope one day George Lucas takes back ownership of Star Wars and retcons the last 3 movies

I never liked how Disney removed some of their adult jokes out of the films. They were put in there so the parents can have fun as well!

i always tell my mom i envy the time she grew up in and looking at this video REALLY made me envious like dude why couldnt i have been been alive when these great movies came out 😭
The reason it is so aberrant is because removing something from the DSM by means of protesting rather than by scientific reasoning doesn't mean something is sudenly good or healthy.
Picture it as if Disney were to make a movie where the main character has schizophrenia and a lot if not most of the movie is justifying the paranoias and hallucinations while clearly ignoring that all the other characters behave differently. Obviously people would feel at the very least odd since the majority don't have that disorder and can clearly see what's going on.
And to the ones that think, and that's the proper word since it's just your opinion, that homosexuality and similar things are not paraphilias or disorders be aware that they are, scientifically, they might not be, politically, since for something to be listed in the DSM itself as a disorder for instance it needs to be against what is considered normal by current society and that is always changing, which makes the DSM pathetic in itself but that's another topic. Scientifically it will always be a disorder or even better, a paraphilia, you can explain why that is by going on about the actual changes going through the brain and so on and on but it's such a simple concept to grasp that you don't even need to go that deep when you can simply point out that this behavior leads to not being able to reproduce which is the one thing we know life came to be for which makes the "argument" for it to go directly against one of the core axioms humanity has about anything that is going on in here.

The thing about the "stereotypical connotations", along with the one dimensional portrayal of in these older movies is, it's a movie. It's a fictional world. Made to spark your imagination. Saying that imagining a fairy tale land to be an accurate portrayal is the only way to make an imaginative film, is ludicrous! It's fiction for a reason. You can imagine worlds in which a genie sounds like that. You can imagine a carpet can fly. You can imagine a town in which society is however you like! Humanity, specifically Disney, need to take a chill pill and get back to making classics.
And as for the racial stuff, sometimes you have to exaggerate to get your point across. They wanted Ratcliffe to be an absolutely despicable, easily hated villain. And they succeeded.

I like to separate disney movies from disney as a company and treat them only as a work of all the amazing artists that ever worked there. Especially all the old masterpieces.
Disney recently release the amazing and beautiful short Once Upon a Studio, it just shows that they are still able to make great films if they are just allowed to and have creative freedom.
A short isn't indicative of their franchise though. That short was likely made by only a few people and definitely isn't a priority since it won't bring in the money like a big movie.

Investors with trillions under management, care about so much shit that we never even think about scoring, modeling, predicting, and researching. There the gamblers millions of people give their bets to. And long term betting is always much more profitable than short-term. They are trying to predict where society is headed in 10 years, 20 years, 50 years, or even 200 years from now. And these organizations are just profiting off of creating metrics by doing very hands-on research and analysis, and the investment managers like Blackrock decide if these scores matter and model it out and make predictions. If they are right and the population is headed to an all-inclusive society then they want to adjust their bets accordingly. This is a very old concept that hasn't been applied at this scale before and to so many sectors. Brands and business will more often than not want success and if that means changing to meat some criteria, they will do it. Most of these criteria are supposed to be beneficial for society and probably are. And if you want to see where society is headed, look at the scores investors care about. You might not like all of it, but its happening anyway.

I hated marvel for long time until i watched whole avengers saga. It was ok nothing special I hate marvel less now at least pre-endgame saga. But tbh x is kinda right about stacking... the fact they took all franchises and mixed them together just for hype was kinda cringe ngl. Just blatant play on hype and nostalgia.
I'm not a fan of wokeness, but I will easily ignore it if there's good storytelling. But the thing is, champions of wokeness are so politically consumed that they are completely out of touch with both logic and human nature. This gives them trouble writing coherent plots, relatable characters, or funny jokes. They can't even adapt or remake existing art, because they either don't see the original message, or they do and are deliberately sabotaging and deconstructing the original vision.
People who go to the movies for entertainment drastically outnumber the people who make their movie decisions on political alignment. People who boycott wokeness like to think they are responsible for the financial failures of these movies, when in reality, the movies are self-sabotaging because they can only make movies that are anti-fun and shallow.

I just wish mainline Star Wars movies could be good. We only got one trilogy and then Revenge of the Sith then Disney came along to make 3 trash movies and then they faked reviews on them. There are shows and side movies worth watching but Disney Star Wars is the most inconsistent franchise for its size and it only works when creatives go unnoticed and make something surprisingly good under their noses.
