Thank you this was very helpful. My accords seat is finally needing to be replaced, 300,000 miles later! Going to pull one from a junkyard this weekend
Would not have taken the internals of the switch apart to do the repair without this video... but thanks to this it saved some soldering and other difficulties. Thank you!
@@torello928 My battery is totally dead and I dropped my key down there so I can't jump the car. Can I do this without disconnecting the battery. My seats won't slide because the battery is dead.😢
Just incase a positive wire touches the body of the car it will cause a short, or worst start a fire. The whole body of the car is connected to the ground or negative side of the battery.
Sorry I was replying in a rush, yes if you don't disconnect the battery you can trigger the airbags in the seat by disconnecting or connecting the plug. It could severly injury or kill you! Always disconnect the battery!
@@torello928 We bought a second hand accord 2004 and the driver seat can't be moved forward. The former owner said that he disconnected its wiring underneath the seat so her wife will not lean forward while driving. I suspect this is not the real reason though. Is this a common problem in these kind of accords? Is there a danger where if the plug is connected the air bag will pop out? Thanks!

Thank you for making a straight to the point video with no fat. I wish more tutorials were like this
Thanks brother
Any videos on how to do this to a 2007 Honda Accord
It's the same they're both 7th gen accords
03-07 accords, all the same with a few exceptions like the rear end. I think it changed around 06
Very helpful. Thanks.
Why do u have to disconnect battery before removing seat
So you don't short out the seat motor or worst activate an airbag in the seat if equipped

I know this is a old video but hopefully someone can reply...please forgive my ignorance but why unhook the battery?

@@torello928 okay, I was wondering if maybe it had something to do with the airbags.. thanks for the explanation.
