    I have been on the other side of the lawn business as I didn't want or allow it to grow too much. I didn't want my business to run me. I was in cooperate world and being part of the management team, I felt the business ran all of us if you know what I mean. As I've become older I'm planning on growth and am positioning myself to do just that. Only real issue I see is workers. Its why I've worked alone most of the 20+ years I've done it. Wanted to share this, i know my story is different. After working 70-80 hours a more through college and well into my career, I've had enough of everything coming in second to the business, but there has to be a time where you sacrifice all to be successful. Its your choice

    He said he uses the Isuzu trucks as sidewalk rigs? I would definitely look into switching over to them for our mowing crews if I knew for sure they could make it through the snow for sidewalk crews. We currently have the same amount of sidewalk crews as mowing crews so this is interesting. I wonder if they chain the tires. Because the Isuzu trucks are 2wd.

    Private office space is nice as it reduces background noise over just cubicles. Although I'd do a partial glass door so you can keep tabs on your employees and still have the door closed.

    • @Matt-yw2oi
      @Matt-yw2oi Год назад +1

      A key piece to having a successful company full of hard workers is having trust, what you suggested is a good way to create a toxic work environment. Should be no reason to “keep tabs” on your office employees. Workers who feel appreciated will be happy to be there and get their job done.

    Great video and great guy but this doesn’t make sense. How could an average of 110 employees only bring in 90k of revenue for the year. This operation has way to much overhead and expensive equipment to only have 10m in revenue. If true then to keep there doors open then these employees are only making 20-30k a year or they are in some serious debt. I would think an operation this size would be around 20 million
