Please don't be discouraged about this video. I bought a Cylinder work 434 Big bore last year and they have fixed this issue. Mine sat perfectly and was a easy install. I got mine off of ebay new.
There’s absolutely zero issue with this kit, I have exactly the same kit from the same batch 4100-k01,& as soon as the gasket is used this ‘rocking’ 100% doesn’t happen!
Right but a few is the same thing as a ltz 400 except different gearing an the 450 replaced the 400 a LTR motor would fit on it but that's alot of money so yes it would be nice to get one on the bike from factory
The LTR450 is a sport quad, and they didn't use that engine in a dirt bike. Suzuki did come out with a modern version of the DRZ400E model. It's called the RMX450Z, it's made for more aggressive trail riding like the Honda CRF450X.
Al Hagopian, it did even with the gasket, that's what got my attention. At first I couldn't figure out what was going on. You could see daylight between the surfaces.

Putt the gascket on , then see if it fits properly
That’s why it’s better to shell out a bit more and buy an Athena kit...plus, you get better water cooling

How much more power is this adding versus SM that has been modded with full exhaust, 3x3 mod, jetted, and K&N air filter?
what did Cylinder Works have to say about it?
Did they solve the situation
hello to you what was your setup on the FCR carburettor main jet idle jet and the type of your needle thank you very much have a nice end of the day
Thanks for the info that was very useful keep up the good work
Pretty unacceptable. Glad you sorted it
Jeepers Creepers where'd ya get those 👀's.
The second video of this problem I have seen on RUclips.
And as soon as the gasket is used there’s zero problem lol
Christ, why won't Suzuki just update these things to 440s from the factory? Been making the same goddamned bike for 15 years.
they made that quad while ago. they are for sale brand new today.
opmike343 it's emissions. This motor is grandfathered under the old standards. Cc change would alter that.
what do you think the chances of a drz type bike passing all the new carb laws are?
Can't you take that radius out maybe file or lathe? Oof sorry didn't even read the date on this vid.. Sorry
an they did change them from 400s its called ltr 450
Al Hagopian, to my knowledge, they don't make a DRZ 450 and a ltr 450 motor is closer to the 450R motors
than the 400 motors.

i bet if u put the gasket on it wont do that

100% correct! I v have exact same kit here and with the gasket there’s no problem
How many miles on it when you did this
Engineering std there needs to be a radius, fit the gasket and bolt it on.

The piston often changes on a 434 kit?
Nico Fmx, yes. It came with a Vertex piston for the larger 94mm cylinder bore.
How much did it cost
