Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I've never adjusted my valves myself on my DRZ. I've probably watched this video three or four times now and it's really making me anxious to want to try myself. Snow is melting fast and riding season is upon us in my area so I'm afraid if I don't get it right I'm going to lose ride time 🤣 seriously though, thank you!👊🏼

Great video, i'm down east in Nova Scotia I have a 2018 DRZ400S, I do a lot of riding has 31000 kms on it now, I'm getting a lot of deceleration pops when I let the throttle go but none in acceleration and It stalls every week or so once then takes a few min to start again but will run fine in between, starts up real easy, I am going to check the clearances and take the carb off and clean it, I use an NGK iridium spark plug and only use supreme fuel.

Great video! Just did an install of stage 1 hotcams, however my tolerances were way too tight on the exhaust side, this is definitely going to help!

Hello. I done this job. I think it will be ok.I have a question. I read that I must verify that my cams are getting oil. I read that I must take out the bung beside the Tensioner. I did and have turned the engine over using the starter with the plug removed. Please tell me why no oil has come up so far. ( New oil and new filter). Thank you.

Is there anything special to reset timing chain when you put it back in? Like tighten or loosen or you put it all back together and it’s fine?

First time doing this, I’ve got the line at TDC, but my cams are pointing in instead of out…any suggestions?

rotate till cam lobes are like in the video and check for the line in the sight hole, 4 stroke so you may be on the wrong stoke.

When you/he said «take note of the orientation before taking off the cams», he ment the lobes right?

There are markings on the cam gears so you get it back into the same spot.

I was hoping this bike did NOT have the bucket/shim style valves.

I feel that they are a better system and not quite daunting once you have done it a few times.

BJ it looks the like the same engine however I can only see the one side. I would check the values and cams, could of slipped a tooth on the cam.
