Literally same issue with my DRZ I just bought. Engine was basically shredded. Soooo now I’m putting in a big bore kit. It’s been an expensive 2 weeks lol
Just bought my first bike a month ago. Head gasket must have blown cause my bike died and was shooting out white smoke with the temp at 230. I might end up with a big bore kit as well. Expensive couple weeks too XD.
I would have liked to see more detail on your install of the piston into the cylinder and then attaching it to the connecting rod. Skipped right over that important part. Overall excellent video though. Thanks buddy
@8:04 I agree %100!!!! You literally were riding a motor that was set on SELF DESTRUCT MODE and saved yourself a bunch of money by identifying the motor burning oil! Could of destroyed everything including the block itself if you wouldn't of caught this early enough. Awesome video bro!
Did you end up getting any dyno results? Interested to see what numbers you're pulling. I got 43/44HP with FCR39, 434 cw kit, stg 2 hot cams and yoshi rs2 (with baffle in, Would read a lil higher if I had it tuned with it out im sure). Im also keen to see what you think of the lectron carb? Could you possibly post a video of its throttle response when blipping and cracking the throttle." Cheers
El video me parece gusta, pero te doy un (like -10) porque los enlaces son solo de Herramientas en Amazon, y no hay enlaces donde comprar el Big Bore y otras piezas como el Camshaft ....ETC.
Please do a update your crankcase would be full of much pieces of trash from the old cylinder and piston damage it may not be long before the crankshaft and bearings are torn up and the new cylinder and piston. I hope not but good idea to keep track of it. Good luck 👍
Dayum boiii. Once I saw a DrZ snapping timing chain, the owner planned to buy new cylinder kit like you did. He cried for 2 whole days after he noticed the pricetag
The vlog was good but u guys should have done this more detailed. For a beginner someone like me it was hard to catch up and understand. But for an experienced guy its okay. thanks anyways.
@@TURBOTWINKIE Ah! cool. My guess with the additional power you're getting, gearing could be extended a bit. Really wish Suzuki would have given us a 6 speed by now.
@@exothermal.sprocket Yep the bike has plenty of power in 5th gear just revs really high when cruising which is annoying. I may consider changing the gearing
Not true about needing aftermarket exhaust. Stock is better because of some back pressure. Did you re use head bolts? They are 1 time use only. And what happened to running in piston and cylinder? 500 miles
Why on earth people are trying to soup up a drz is beyond me.you can put big bores, cams carburetor, exhaust, and all kinds of "racing" crap on it and it'll still be a 300 and something pound drz.besides going to a 38 tooth rear sprocket mine is completely stock.i change the oil every thousand miles or so and ride on.14,000 miles and the valves haven't moved.it doesn't tick or clack or knock, has original timing chain etc.although I did cut about 3/4 of an inch off the acct spring right after I got it.if and when it wears out I'll get a new head and piston and rings from Suzuki and ride some more.never opened up the motor for "locktite fixes"or any of the other " must do" crap I've heard about.if it ain't broke don't fix it is my philosophy and so far it's served me well with my drz.i think some people just can't leave well enough alone and those are the ones constantly working on their bike instead of riding.if you want to go fast get anything but a drz.if you want a good all around reliable bike that gets good gas mileage and is easy to handle get a drz.I really don't see any middle ground.Mines a 2016 sm with Avon trail riders by the way.good tires but they weigh a ton and I won't be putting another set of them on there.just my opinion.

Can you attach your disassembly/ build sheet? Thanks

Awesome video enjoyed it glad you managed to find the fault sort it out and thanks for filming it for our benefit.
When is TurboTwinkie coming back?!?!?
thank you for this. Top end rebuild soon, hopefully that fixes my coolant leak :)
Good luck!

How many miles are expected out of this particular bike after the install I have a bike with same mileage thinking about doing this
what wheels are those? They look stellar.
Do you have to run race fuel with something like this? Or will pump gas be okay?
Can you do A 1 year overall review on the Mt10? I’d love to hear your thoughts on riding that bike for over a year
Awesome work. Thank you. 👍😎🇦🇺
No new liner? Or did I miss that bit?
I need a link to purchase the BB kit
I just have to ask 2 years later how did that big bore kit hold up? Was it worth it? And how was longevity?
Its a motorcyclist's channel on RUclips and he hasn't uploaded a video for two years. I think you can draw your own conclusions.
Thanks man, now I know I won't be doing it ;).
I know i know i am cheap but you have a discount code for helmet mount ?

I did not see you check the ring gaps......That could be what killed the last piston and jug
Привет, из какого вы штата ? Сможете мне поставить биг бор на дрз ?

Hmm, I wonder what type of damage snapped timing chain did, Thanks for sharing

Where ya at bro?
How many miles did you buy that bike with, that looks so mess How the previous owner had it.
Check crankshaft for wear!
Здарова парни. Подскажите какой фирмы ставили поршень и цилиндр? Спасибо
Cylinder works 434cc big bore kit :)
👍👍👍
You going to transplant a Lectron carb in place of the OEM?
Yes i installed lectron as well just didn’t show it. Saved it for another video, still making minor adjustments to it

Did he died? 🙁
Мне ведь не послышалось, русский акцент? Ой, сорян, там не только акцент )

They say sheesh where you’re from😭
More like small bore kit
