How To Install An LED Dimmer

Welcome to Reg's Channel! In this video I'm going to show you step by step how to install an LED dimmer switch. LED Bulbs require compatible dimmer switches to work properly. This is a quick and straightforward process that can save you a ton of money as a DIY project.

Remember we are working with electricity here, so be sure to turn off your breaker supplying power to the switch FIRST and test the light switch to make sure in fact that the power is off before working on this install. This is a great 10 minute job that can help to brighten up any space in your home and help to modernize your lighting!

Nice job! What if there’s a double switch also controls the exhaust fan in the bathroom? Is it possible to get a dimmer that only affects the LED light while the first switch only turns the fan on and off?

Hey! Thanks for the kind words. Just so I'm clear, are you saying that you have 2 separate switches, one for the light, the other for the fan? Or are the fan and light both wired to the same switch. If they are both wired to the same switch that might be a challenge as I don't think the fan is going to like that very much... Clarify the setup for me and I'll do some digging and see what is out there! I know Lutron makes a fancy switch called a "Caseta" that might be the ticket? Let me know!
