The Lutron Diva Dimmer Switch is not a smart switch, just a standard dimmer light switch that works with most light bulbs for dimming functionality. The Lutron Diva Dimmer Switch does not require a neutral wire for installation and it takes approximately 15-30 Minutes to install the Lutron Diva Dimmer Light Switch. The Lutron Diva dimmer is designed to work with LED, Incandesent and Halogen light bulbs. In my testing the dimming functionality has worked with every style of light bulb I've tested it with.
The Lutron Diva Dimmer has both an on off switch and it adjustable dimming lever on the side of the Lutron Diva Light Switch to allow you to choose the dimming level. You can set the dimming level from 0-100% and it will maintain the current dimming level.

Instructions for my Lutron DIVA dimmer switch says Load (RED) & Hot (Black) from switch "can be used interchangeably" - BUT - my LED overheads are not dimming. Is it possible that it DOES matter which color wire (from switch) you use for dimming to work correctly (single pole use)? Thanks
Is there an LED on the dimmer slider? I'm looking for a completly dark one no little lights in the bedroom
what is the red and white wire that was unused for? I am having issues with 2 switches. I replaced one switch and it works fine but now the 2nd switch only works if the new one is turned on. Meaning if new switch is turned off, 2nd switch will not operate to turn on or off
If you haven’t found out, that is a 3 way switch wire. Multiple switches for one light
I have an older home and found only two wires coming from the breaker box. They are not labeled hot or load. Does it matter which wire I connect to my switch?
He covers this beginning @ 4:11 of the video. I also live in an older home and all of my wires enter and exit at the top of the box so I just connected one black to black and the other black to solid red wire..
When you clock up it’s off wjen down it’s on, I thought it was installed backwards -

I did this install, the switch is oriented correctly, but the on off position is switched. Any suggestions?

In the video you hooked up the red and white wire for the single pole application and that is incorrect, it is only used for the 3 way application.
No he didn't. Look at 6:44 in the video where he connects the solid red to load, then he just tapes over the end of the red/white striped wire explaining that its only used for 3 way.
