Ideal si mai concret era sa instalezi un al doilea filtru dupa cel principal ca sa ne putem da seama cate particule scapa primul filtru si cat de eficient este. Nu ar fi rau sa reiei acest test, promit ca fac cinste cu 2 filtre Purflux. Baftă in tot ceea ce faci!
Always use thermal couple to measure temperature. Actually use at least 2 at different locations. Heating ovens are very inaccurate and the temperature inside is not the same at the different points. If possible - use a fan inside the oven. How many tests I had ruined by bad ovens... You should use only ferrous metal particles and use magnet to check what is left in the oil after the test. Also, the surface area and the flow rate are probably connected somehow to form the overall flowrate of the filter. If you run the pump for 200l and check the required time you will see that function. And probably the lower flowrate results for MANN from your test are not bad because of the bigger surface area. Keep the good videos coming!

Loved the test! Today I bought the filters for my car, and this video series was crucial in my decision: I went with Purflux. Can you make a video comparing the following brands: Meyle vs. Purflux vs. Bosch vs. Mann-Filter vs. Mahle Meyle is the OEM of many filters for car manufacturers. Purflux, in my opinion, is second best. Bosch is good - but it sources their filters from other OEMs. Mann-Filter sells many filters in Europe. Mahle is best-known for other parts, but filters are available. Cheers from Portugal!
Genial testul tau! Am folosit mult timp filtre starline și au fost ok. Pentru prețul cerut , calitatea e foarte buna. Încearcă te rog dacă poți și filtre champion sau henghst.
Foarte binevenit testul tau. Eu am folosit mult timp Mahle si knecht, dar pretul lor a crescut nejustificat in ultimul timp. As subscrie si eu altor cereri, daca in testul pentru filtre ar aparea si Champion, febi, filtron, blue print. Sunt filtre mai ieftine, dar poate ca au un comportament apropiat de cele premium, astfel ca putem avea o imagine completa a marcilor preponderente in piata filtrelor auto din Romania. Apreciez si salut efortul depus, obiectivitatea si generozitate in publicarea acestor teste.

Felicitări Sergiu încă o dată! Prin testul tău ai demonstrat ceea ce spun specialiștii, nu mai sunt filtre proaste pe piață! Pentru cineva care schimbă uleiul la 10000 km un filtru Starline poate fi o opțiune economică fără impact negativ asupra fiabilității motorului. Eu personal folosesc mai mult filtre Bosch deoarece am posibilitatea de a le cumpăra mai ieftin, mașina s-a comportat absolut la fel ca atunci când am folosit filtre Mann sau Mahle, fie diferențele sunt nesemnificative și fără impact, fie se vor manifesta la un kilometraj la care mașina va fi dată deja la casat.

La un Vw în reprezentanță au folosit filtre Ufi made în China și Tunisia, le-am analizat până a catadicsit mecanicul să se apuce de treabă și am putut compara filtrul de aer cu unul Mann aflat în portbagaj. Îți spun sincer că Ufi era mai bine finisat decât Mann iar pâsla ce-l acoperea la Mann era mai scurtă și se trăgea într-o parte. Nu m-ar mira ca chinezii să ofere o surpriză, sper eu, plăcută.
UFI si SOFIMA sunt cam acelasi brand si vin in prima echipare, sau veneau la un moment dat, pe Ford Focus. Am schimbat si eu vreo 3 filtre de asatea si scria pe ele "made in China".
@@DanielluBc Sofima aparține lui Ufi, Filtron aparține lui Mann iar exemple sunt destule...ce să-i faci? Globalizarea. Am luat ultima dată Hengst la promoție și erau toate made în China. Dacă nu ar fi avut hârtia galben specific, plasticul puteai jura că e de la Ufi/Sofima.
j'utilise toujours Bosch et je n'ai jamais eu de problème avec la marque Bosch , cependant le filtre knecht a retenu toute mon attention !!!! ( je vidange ma voiture chaque 5000km ou 6 mois maximum ) ce n'est pas pour le prix d'un bidon d'huile et d'un filtre a huile que je vais me plaindre , mais je veux le meilleur car un véhicule coûte cher et car je suis perfectionniste , ce test était excellent et bien que j'ai confiance en Bosch depuis des années knecht a retenu toute mon attention

Bravo ! Poate reușești sa faci și niște teste de viteză a încărcării in circuitul de ulei, inclusiv a trecerii prin filtru, a uleiurilor de diferite vâscozitati la rece. Folosind sistemul de pompare, dintr o baie de ulei ( nu sa fie prin cădere din sticla aceea, către pompă).
I was buying Purflux for years. It was original for Citroen / Peugeot and i often bought it for my other cars. But now times changed. Price went down by 3-4€ and suddenly on the box is no more Made in France.. its China. I quit with this manufacturer, if i want chinese filters i can get them way cheaper than 8€/piece. Im talking about my recent Purflux L442 filter for 3.0 HDi. So very nice test.. but the products and quality changes. I had similar experience with Lemforder, they were made in Slovakia.. now Malaysia or Spain, and they dont fit my car anymore. The dust cap breaks after instalation because of bad desing.
Super test, ca de obicei. Te rog din nou dacă ai cum sa prinzi în testele tale filtrele de la Nipparts, pt ca sunt cele mai ieftine la toate japonezele cât și la koreene. Few days ago I was in a meeting in LKQ and they admitted the Starline filters are made in Poland by MANN+Hummel (Filtron) in Gostyń They're "OE Quality" and produce OEM OE OES for several European brands, their brands are: Filtron, MANN, Hummel, WIX
Do you think brands use the same media for al the oil filters? I use verry thick oil in my cars 15w40, so i want the highest flow speed. But my cars use screw on filters. Not cartridge. I professionaly use purflux. But personally i use mann. But seeing this test i think i go back to purflux.
Iti cer o mica lamurire vis-a-vis de o informatie data in video: Mahle si Knecht sunt aceeasi firma, adica is filtrele identice? Caci pe site-urile de profil(nu dau nume dar sunt cele uzuale), pentru masina mea, le-am gasit pe amble la vanzare.. si nu doar ca le difera pretul(cu un leu ce-i drept), dar si arata diferit in poza(care-i posibil sa nu fie cea reala).
Wait what, Purflux you had here was actually genuine VW/Audi filter? I am well aware that aftermarket and the one you can get from the dealer are the one and the same, but don't they usually remove all the logos from the aftermarket ones? And Bosch filters aren't always made in Germany, my cousin has Alfa Romeo and he always buys Bosch filters, and every single one of them was made in South Africa, however ones i get for my VW Jetta are indeed made in Germany. And i have to say there's no difference in quality no matter where they came from, at least not that i know of. Well, Bosch, Mann, Purflux, Mahle.. Can't go wrong, they were all, or still are, OE suppliers for VAG, BMW, Mercedes..
Dont lose your time : technology filter paper of Purflux offer 42 % more area to filter anything. It's the lonely filter beyond 30 or 40 other filters that can deliver this filter capacity and so it can be smaller than other and easier to install on a motor.. If you find FRAM filters, they use same tech.
Ai putea să faci niste teste cu filtre de combustibil de tipul PU 936/2 , am avut multe neplăceri cu unele marci de filtre la capitolul rezistenta si cote de fabricatie mai mici sau mai mari se intepeneau si nu mai puteam să le scot decât prin distrugere sau erau mai largi cu 0,1,2mm si nu se amorsau .
Wouldn't the filter with the thickest media keep the by pass valve open longer when the engine is cold...a better experiment would be to see how well cold oil flows through the filter and how long the by pass valve is open

Ar trebui să încerci și niște filtre full synthetic ca Wix XP sau Royal Purple (cred că e făcut de Champion) dacă sunt de cumpărat in România toate astea probabil folosesc media similară cu Donaldson Synteq XP.
Nice video, but the filter test can be more accurate if you measure the exact amount of powder added and then, after the run, examine whether the filtered oil is clean using a laboratory test.

De unde sti ca acel fitru a fost fabriacat intr-o anumita tara? Informatiile de pe pachet indica ultimul proces major de fabricatie , ambalarea .Un filtru a fost ambalat in Germania ,unul in Franta unul undeva ('comisia nu da numele vaporului') . Daca suprafata de filtrare e mai mare atunci filtrul retine mai bine particulele ... pe viitor voi pune pe OM660 (799cmc) filtrul de ulei de 8-710G3 (92800cmc) ca atunci fitreaza retine foarte foarte binne particulele ,adica practic toate particulele . Testul de filtrare e ambiguu pt primul filtru deoarece instalatia de testare nu a fost rodata . Timpii de testare nu sunt identici , rezulta ca nici cantitatea de ulei filtrata nu e identica dar se face comparatie . Pe bune? Pacat de munca.

@@SergiuGabor , toate filtrele Mahle? Aer, combustibil, ulei, polen? Toate modele sunt cele mai bune? Sau doar anumite modele? Eu pe masina mea (Ford) folosesc filtre originale (FORD sau PSA) pentru că sunt mai ieftine decăt mahle sau mann 😁. Însă am studiat filtre stocker și filtron și sunt ok ca și construcție. Dacă ești din București îți pot arăta ce zic. 😊
Unfortunately this test is nearly nothing. The most iportant data of an oil or any kind of filter is the diameters of the microholes on the filter material. So the main function for the filter is to filt a bigger parts AND this parameter is nowhere in the test. Sorry for my comment, but the most important data is still missing.

I used to put bosch filter for my vw touareg,,after this test for the hot weather same here in kuwait 🔥🔥i am going to replace it with mann filter 😅😅

Using purflux as standard in all my cars for years
so for my family runaround deisel, a purflux filter with a synthetic oil should last a year between services? doing at most 3k miles a year?

Just bought a bosch filter and this one is made in france and it has the same zigzag shape as the purflux (french made). Coincidence?

De unde sti ca acel fitru a fost fabriacat intr-o anumita tara? Informatiile de pe pachet indica ultimul proces major de fabricatie , ambalarea .Un filtru a fost ambalat in Germania ,unul in Franta unul undeva ('comisia nu da numele vaporului') .
Daca suprafata de filtrare e mai mare atunci filtrul retine mai bine particulele ... pe viitor voi pune pe OM660 (799cmc) filtrul de ulei de 8-710G3 (92800cmc) ca atunci fitreaza retine foarte foarte binne particulele ,adica practic toate particulele .
Testul de filtrare e ambiguu pt primul filtru deoarece instalatia de testare nu a fost rodata . Timpii de testare nu sunt identici , rezulta ca nici cantitatea de ulei filtrata nu e identica dar se face comparatie . Pe bune?

Eu pe masina mea (Ford) folosesc filtre originale (FORD sau PSA) pentru că sunt mai ieftine decăt mahle sau mann 😁.
Însă am studiat filtre stocker și filtron și sunt ok ca și construcție. Dacă ești din București îți pot arăta ce zic. 😊

Unfortunately this test is nearly nothing.
The most iportant data of an oil or any kind of filter is the diameters of the microholes on the filter material. So the main function for the filter is to filt a bigger parts AND this parameter is nowhere in the test.
Sorry for my comment, but the most important data is still missing.

Maybe you can test SCT Filters also. It is quite cheap in Germany and SCT is known as manufactor of Mannol Oils

Nu as putea spune ca e nr.1, mai degrabă cred ca e la egalitate cu Knecht pentru prima poziție.
@@SergiuGabor mai convins cu testele astea si am comandat Knecht toate filtrele :) impreuna cu uleiul Motul 8100 Xlean FE sper sa fie o gustarica buna pentru Peugeot-ul 508 al meu :))) ! mai asteptam video-uri de genul :)
