Man, you are really the Bomb! I recently purchased the whole Sonos Arc system and have watched all the videos (I thought) on RUclips about how to properly set it up to get the best sound quality. But, tonight I run across your video and discover the one piece of advice that none of the other videos I watched covered. I immediately checked my TV’s settings and discovered, yep, you guessed it, it was not set to earc. Well, I changed that and former content I had viewed suddenly took on a whole new sound pallet. WOW, I have exactly same situation. I bought SONOS sound bar 3 weeks ago and ready to return it because it douse't sound like dolby at all. SONOS app keep showing stereo PCM. i have been watching TV with stereo sound with disappointment. I decided to return it and go back to my receiver and speakers. your video saved it all. Thank you.

Thanks for watching, nice setup brother I love the fives as surround speaker :). Yeah a second sub will definitley do the job you wont regret it. The settings i use is EQ +6 surround on +8 or +10 depending on what movie i watch my two subs is allways on +6 and it shakes my whole livingroom haha and the height is on +8. I know these settings are a little overkill but we have to enjoy the system we payed alot of money for. Of course if you have an apple device allways have Trueplay on. If you want to see how my settings sound, check my other videos where i go threw them and test them out. @@josefholub6541 Try one change in the settings i have in this video. Instead of having it on auto, change it to pass-through instead on the settings on tv. That might help with the issue. Try that and get back to me if it helps or not bro 🙏

I think that was the mic on the camera not picking up everything. It was not like that when listening. I will have a new video with a 2 sub gen 3 tomorrow and try a different camera. Hope it doesnt get like that. But I can assure you that its not like that listening IRL
So this is a head scratcher. I have sonos beam and surrounds with two sonos ones. I can now get atmos but when playing youtube videos with dolby tests i dont get it. and yet i have all the settings correct. Why is that ? Also i find atmos really muffled and prefer the other formats as they sound clearer for me and not sure why.
Thanks for watching, its because youtube doesnt have atmos all the youtube videos are encoded in 2.0 stereo. You can only get dolby and try out atmos from apps like Netflix, HBO max and other ones. But youtube doesnt have Dolby.
Thanks for watching, sometimes it helps to set it as pass through rather than auto. Maybe that could help? The settings i use in my video is on an LG oled, but most tv´s has the same settings for Sonos to work. Is everything on even earc?
@@lecobennink2000 well your system should work with hdmi arc aswell, it doesnt need earc if you have hdmi arc. I have tried looking it up on how it works with Qled and alot of forums online says its almost the same as Oled so my settings should work for your tv. Its really strange that you cannot make it work
Can you help me out? I have the sonos arc and sub and to be honest I am not amazed! There isn’t any punch to the sound. It’s clear but it’s missing something

I have a LG tv which is around 5 years old now but does have the ARC which I use. I want the sound (specially base) in films and music to really stand out. Thanks bro, any help would be appreciated.
@@Ba1ster hmm that sounds weird, i got another guy commenting the same issue with his system. But have you tried to increase the EQ to +3 or 4 and the sub to +4 or maybe more? Cause if you have a big room you need to level up the settings more than you have it on.
You need a TV with eARC to get Dolby Atmos to the Sonos system. You will only see Dolby 5.1 at best with just an HDMI Arc connection to the ARC or Beam Gen 2 soundbar.
What about if you have a 2016 LG OLED TV without dolby atmos support? I actually bought the sonos system and i can't play dolby atmos. I tried via xbox x and ps5 and i still couldn't. I also try to stream from nvidia shield and neither my nvidia shield could play dolby atmos. I read articles on internet that says you no need dolby atmos tv to play dolby atmos sound. And why the hell i cannot enjoy my sonos system then?

The funny thing is that i tried several dolby atmos movies (supported with Dolby Atmos) from Disney + and Netflix and i could read the sign Dolby Atmos on them but when i was streaming the movies i only could get Dolby Digital 5.1 according sonos app.

@@thisishazno8536 I know. Your video was very helpful but not for me. My Tv doesn't have the settings that your Tv have. My Digital sound output set to auto and the simplinh set to Hdmi ARC. As i said unfortunately i dont have eArc. My Tv also have not a Dolby atmos option to enable or disable. I was expecting to take Dolby from Nvidia shield and sonos home cinema but i didnt. I try every single tutorial and video and articles provided on internet but i still couldnt get Dolby Atmos. I also try to change the Hdmi Cables and replace them with more quality cables and faster (2.1) but still problem was there. I really dont know what to do. A new Tv seems the only option to me now. I am not even thinking to buy a Hdfury Arcana to do the job cause is expensive. My nvidia shield is 2019 Pro model btw.

Which is kind of sad because LG oled from 2016 are still very awesome in picture quality and everything else. If you wand the Duo sub Setup you can only this too with a Sub Gen 2 and 3. you can Not connect two Sub Gen 3 together for the Duo Sub set up. Sorry for my Bad english, i live in Germany.

@@thisishazno8536 Beam Gen2, Sub Gen 3 and a pair of One SLs for rears. Since adding the SLs I feel it’s made a huge difference to the immersion now I just hope one day soon Sonos adds support to add more Ones so I can add another pair for the side surrounds creating 7.1 surround. Still working on EQ settings but currently using EQ Bass-2 Treble+2, Surrounds+5, Sub+3, Height+4, True play On, Speech Enhance On. MW2 Audio Home Theatre. But the speakers are all very close around my gaming chair around an arms length away 😅
@@DDD-xx4mg thats a really nice setup, yeah i hope so too. Sonos is putting out alot of updates lately so hope to see some good ones to pair more speakers to the system. Yeah when it comes to setting i have been using it on EQ +6 Surround +8 on my fives and for my two subs i use +6 tv height +10, and its almost to much when i blast on high volumes. Im havent changed my settings but i want to change mine to see if i can find some better for gaming. Cause the settings i use for movies are a little overkill when i play games :D. Maybe i will try yours and see how it is. hahaha ahh well you have your speakers really close so understand why you keep the settings on medium level 😂. Have you thought about changing your Ones for Fives? Or maybe add another Sub gen 3? 😁

Since adding the SLs I feel it’s made a huge difference to the immersion now I just hope one day soon Sonos adds support to add more Ones so I can add another pair for the side surrounds creating 7.1 surround. Still working on EQ settings but currently using EQ Bass-2 Treble+2, Surrounds+5, Sub+3, Height+4, True play On, Speech Enhance On. MW2 Audio Home Theatre. But the speakers are all very close around my gaming chair around an arms length away 😅
@@DDD-xx4mg thats a really nice setup, yeah i hope so too. Sonos is putting out alot of updates lately so hope to see some good ones to pair more speakers to the system. Yeah when it comes to setting i have been using it on EQ +6 Surround +8 on my fives and for my two subs i use +6 tv height +10, and its almost to much when i blast on high volumes. Im havent changed my settings but i want to change mine to see if i can find some better for gaming. Cause the settings i use for movies are a little overkill when i play games :D. Maybe i will try yours and see how it is. hahaha ahh well you have your speakers really close so understand why you keep the settings on medium level 😂. Have you thought about changing your Ones for Fives? Or maybe add another Sub gen 3? 😁
