Initial approach to 22L and then to 13L. We were forced to go around due to runway incursion.
My first go around experience! Notice that the landing announcement was so late before touchdown! Well, this is why you don't say them so late! Amazing roar sound from the engines! And also really nice thrust reduction from those GE90s!
Origin: Moscow Sheremetyevo
Destination: New York JFK
Aircraft: 77W
Airline: Aeroflot
Seat: 11A
Engines: General Electric 90
Delay: 1 hour, due to a person disembarking the aircraft, but arrived on time

HAVE A NICE DAY :D
Nice job with the nearly clickbait title. Nothing approaching "full power" was used in the making of this video.
GeekBoy832 at 2:50 the engine is clearly heard at full power. You are the only person out of 154 not acknowledging that full thrust was used in the process of this go around. No offense, I'm just trying to understand what makes you think this isn't full power.
Perhaps it went up to near takeoff thrust, but that still is not full rated engine power.
GeekBoy832 well, maybe the engine did not reach full power, but that was definitely very high thrust, which is why the title says full power. No click bait intended.
GO AROUND is always at MAX THRUST. ALWAYS. in approach configuration you usually have full flaps down and gear, which means MUCH DRAG. you dont use reduced on G/A
2:20 (97% FULL)
2:37 (107.7% FULL - ABSOLUTELY EPIC)
2:57 WHAT A DROP
JhinTrick The drop was really loud! Vibrated the plane a bit :D that was fun.
FlyingSpartan I know, I had it on FULL Volume and that shook my headphones
Coming from definitely one of humanity's greatest inventions...
How are so damn sure, that it was TOGA?
2:37 is about sucking the entire universe
2:35 "Ivan, we need more power!"
CivilAviation1 im giving it all she's got captain

Yes. also btw hammond is a host for wipeout
@@thetomgamerboi6817 yeah, from like early 2009😅
This just cracked me up 🤣
Man I miss Top Gear
Co-pilot: Captain! What the hell are you doing?
Pilot: I just want to listen to that sound!
exactly
Co pilots are not aloud to speak with out being to have respond to the captain
Dingolover 06 Spell and grammar please
@@jackmorrison5858 allowed
Wrong. The co-pilot should always question the captain if he thinks something is wrong. Unless they're Korean, then they just follow orders, even if they're going to crash.
2:58 the absolute BEST thrust reduction I’ve EVER HEARD. On ANY PLANE.
This one is not bad too: ruclips.net/video/AxW-9il_b1k/видео.html (3:30)
Sounds like a Lexus LFA
sounds similar to a v10 lfa
Same, I LOVE IT
It sounds exactly like a Lexus LFA V10
Full flaps and speed brakes up.... looks like me on every flight sim approach.
I was thinking that same thing. 😂
Not a very stable approach...
*Noone ever comes in stable first time* lol
@@ellix_3 i agree
If it was a windshear that occurred you can’t change configuration until out of windshear, if you change gear or flaps you’ll effect AOA and possibly stall. That’s why full speed
full flaps on the 777 for landing is SOP for many airlines i believe
What an awesome go around! The GE90 is amazing! What an incredible sound!
I know! First time I heard GE90 on TOGA!
+FlightFilms
The Sound of the GE-90 Is Awesome..
Love Aeroflot!!!
I've never heard a GE90 spin that high before... I would guess over 100% power for a few seconds there. Awesome.
How can it be over 100%?
I was just thinking that myself. Glad I wasn't the only one that noticed that.
Yes, see the other comments. Think of a car's RPM gauge and the redline. Some cars will allow you to rev the engine past redline for a brief period, or before hitting the rev limiter. Think of the beginning of redline as 100%. The pilot in this case probably manually throttled up, then he hit his TOGA switch (Takeoff/Go Around) which makes the autothrottle advance all the way up to provide a kind of "emergency power" that is past the red line. As you can see, they don't stay at that power setting for very long. Even if they had continued the climb, the power would've come back to something below the red line.
Full G/A thrust may be used for usually no more than 10 min. Really allows the 777 to punch through the decrease in lift during a GA situation due to flap retraction. Initial G/A power was not enough to safely maintain climb gradient during flap retraction hence the application of maximum available power. Those GE90s can get a heavy T7 out of a sticky situation very quickly. Immense power.
Here's another example of go-around power... 744 British Airways into JFK, coincidentally (TOGA at the 00:47 mark): ruclips.net/video/ilWAoxPURHI/видео.html
2:57 gives goose bumps...the power is unreal
Oh yes!!! The Beloved GE90-115B. The best sound when throttling up. :)
Yeah :)
that was pretty badass
I agree.
Is it ge? I know aeroflot uses rolls royce
Tyrell Thomas only engine option on the 777-300ER is GE90-115b
Awesome catch! Would you be okay with me featuring this in my series Weekly Dose of Aviation? Of course you will be credited both in the video and in the description. Thanks!
Love the drop at 2:58. The GE90 overall is an amazing piece of engineering.
United 1154 If only GE didn’t push Boeing to make their engines exclusive by offering money. The GE engine itself is amazing!
I never knew that this happened between the two companies, but I totally agree.
United 1154 Yeah sadly not much people are aware of that. GE killed a healthy competition between GE90, Trent 800, and PW4000.
On my last 777 flight, the pilots pushed its throttle, so much so, that we were thrown back into our seat mid flight. You can feel the incredible power of these engines whenever its needed. It sounded like a Lamborghini revving at 35,000 feet. The flight attendants said there was a massive and sudden storm brewing near us and he wanted to get us out asap.
These 777 haul ass
What an amazing sound from the GE90-115B producing 120,000 LBS of thrust on that GoAround? Absolutely amazing noise. At 2:36, the engine power is at 107.2%, the absolute highest on thrust!
The sound at 2:58 HOLY SHIT
Alex Gibbons hecc that’s hot
If i was in that plane that would scare the fuck outta me
2:18 to 3:10 is the best part! I could listen to it all day and night, when I go to sleep and when I wake up, I could listen to those engines and still love it! Great job and good catch!
I know! GE90 makes insane sounds!!!
Oh boy, that sound... I don't need more to live
I still get goosebumps watching this...I must've seen it over 100 time but I love it!!
Yeah it’s the legendary video that blew up my channel! I’ve got plans to take Aeroflot this summer again, let’s hope for another epic go around!!!
@@VoraciousAvgeek That would be awesome!!
That sound is AMAZING. Initially spooled up to about 95% power then pushed up to full G/A thrust at 102% N1 :D!!!!
Yup!!! I've never heard the GE90 at toga!
+FlyingTerror oops I meant G/A
Como sabe que a potência aumentou exatamente para 95%? É uma hipótese?
I love the applause after he landed. Beautifully executed go-around (wise decision by the pilot, no doubt) and landing.
Russians always clap at landing, tradition...
The TOGA power plus the added thrust on these GE90s are mindblowing.
Woaaaah, the sound!!! Delicious! Especially the second spool-up was amazing. Great catch!
Nice!
DAMN that power-down!!!
Pretty cool, you can see the gear retract in the shadow.
John Ham yeah I saw dat too
I get a lump in my throat everytime I watch this electrifying goaround and thrust reduction
2:58 didnt know the engine swallowed a Lexus LFA
FYI the throttle reduction sounds very similar to a Lexus LFA throttle reduction.
RIGHT
2:22 wonder if those cars felt that wake turbulence 🤣
I bet one of them got blown over
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
7:06 Those houses are so lucky…
ikr
7:08 so many 767's
that sound 😍😍😍😍😍
Ikr
Probably the best video showing different sounds of the GE90-115B engines.
Awesome :D
That sound, holy shit I could make love to that sound haha
I gotta change my pants. The engine sound at 2:37 made them wet.......
Ahaha :) yeah, for me it was quite an experience!
FlyingSpartan Lol I could only imagine feeling that power in person...
+AADFWspotters2 I was so happy and screaming "yaaaay" in my head :)
Oh weird but okay
“SPEEDBRAKE EXTENDED” EICAS message intensifies
The approach into 13L looks like the parkway visual (Canarsie approach)....it's a a great approach into JFK.....for both passengers and pilots! Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah it was an amazing view! Thank you!
3:29 on the middle right near the bridge is my aunts house lol 😂
Magnificent video. The roar of the engines, magnificent views and Russian which is a glorious language!
This is my favorite go around video i think ! And the best one ;)
Thank you! This was an amazing go around!
This is weird. It was approaching with spoilers fully extended and then accelerating at the same time (WTF), almost like they didn't realize they were extended. This approach didn't look good from the beginning. TOGA right on time though, good call from the pilot.
On the SU-27 you deploy the airbrake all the time while you are approaching. Maybe he was a Flanker pilot in another generation.
I thought the same, does seem odd to be accelerating against deployed spoilers. Maybe they were just too high too fast too close and things became a bit hectic, as it does on approach, and they made the right call to abandon an unstable approach and go around. Never flown a real 777, only C172's 😔, but in flight sims at least they are very slick planes that tend overshoot speeds during decent in a clean config. Perhaps its true to the real plane as well? Though these guys would have been well dragged with flaps, gear and spoilers out. Must have had lots of excess speed to bleed off?
The approach looks perfectly stabilized. The spoilers were down in good time.
In my hole life, i never saw a better landing video like this. Soo good grafic 🤤
*whole
Conversation in the cockpit:
Pilots: landing plane
Atc: Uh, Cap, I think your wife is waiting at the gate.
Captain: ABORT LANDING!
Holy smokes! Fantastic video! :D And what a smooth landing! :D
To this day this is one of the best things I’ve ever heard in my life
Nothing better than a 777 go around.
Wow! What an epic engine roar!
Aeroflot:)
Hello from Moscow , Russia:)
It appeared to have throttled up higher once the landing gear was completely up. Check out the shadow. Just amazing. Love it.
I keep coming back to this video...just wow
The 300ER is a cool plane, but my favorite is the 200LR. Nice filming of he go around. Great work.
LR has higher thrust to weight ratio.
Spectacular sounds!...you don't forget experiences such as these. Awesome video. Thanks for sharing :)
Yes! Unforgettable experience for sure! Thanks for watching!
:)
I can't believe there's people out there who don't like this noise. Absolutely orgasmic. It's depressing that all new planes have eliminated the buzzsaw almost entirely, to pander to the plane-haters.
do you like rattling noise in the kitchen while youre sleeping? some people like it, most dont. same with jet engine, car engine, etc. noise. Less noise better for sleeping during long haul flight. Especially for frequent flyer.
@@roku_nine who is trying to snooze during a go-around?
I actually like when the person who posts the video responds to our comments. :)
Damn that curve that near at ground is like Russia style
Mr. Kraft haha you got that right
Mr. Kraft damn good joke about ivan...jjjjjj
Mr. Kraft Wait untill you get off in Brussels heading to Brussels city, that turn is slav af
They are really putting the GE90 to its limits.
Cabin crew is making landing annoucements during short final??? ;-)) Only on Aeroflot I guess
Alon Grossmann yep, don’t you just hate that?
The sound of the engine is excellent 🤤
This is what happened to me 2 weeks ago at JFK with Korean Air. The pilot said : « we’re following air trafic control instructions. We will proceed with another landing as soon as the path is clear »
What a smooth landing
Everybody gangsta til a 777 throttles to *WAR ENERGY POWER.*
3:00 that sound though ❤
The Captain said an extra detail at first: the go around was caused due to "the runway being occupied".
JFK is a thorough clusterfuck at all times.
IKR! When I went to JFK again last year in a 757, it was such a mess. We were taxiing left and right.
@@VoraciousAvgeek That airport is perditions flames.
I had a G/A from La Guardia for the same reason. At least there you get a tour of Manhattan Island

Love the initial 22L then to 13L
yeah it's pretty cool! approach to 22L and then to 13L
I can see my house from here! Literally!
Thanks for the great vid.
I thought this was going to be click bait once they got so close to the runway! Awesome video!
Justin Skaggs haha thanks. I wouldn’t clickbait on go arounds!
That sound is just awesome!!
The GE90s sound awesome when they're spooled up! :)
Ahhhh… these GE-90 I Always try to find the triple 7 to fly whenever I can just to enjoy the sound of these fabulous engines...
It’s cool how you can see the landing gear retract from the shadow of the plane
Wow...! This engine is a beast!!! :D
2:57 i would’ve shitted myself if i heard that sound on an airplane, even knowing it’s normal.
2:37 VTEC kicked in
The 777 looks sharp in Aeroflot’s colors.
I think maybe this is the only event when pilota got a chance to listen ge 90 full power sound 😂👂
Cool seeing the planes shadow on the ground as the pilot speeds the engine up.
That is a stunning view of this beautiful GE90! And a well captured go around too, liked!
POWWWWERRRFUL ENGINE OMG GREAT
Thanks :)
the thrust reduction is ..... i dont find word to describe this engine^^
+Wings Avia I know! That was the best thrust reduction I've ever heard
2:21 AMAZING!
Ooooooh that engine!!! 😍😍😍
The BUTTER THOOOOO on the second attempt. DAAAAAMMMMNNN!!!
Imagine seeing the flyover from the ground. That sound!
Wowsers! That's one cool go around!
Brennan's Flight Factor thanks :))
its so beautiful
I see the westbound Belt Pkwy is jammed as usual LOL!I got to see one of these 777 go arounds last year, we were taking pictures right by the 13L threshold and one of the Qatar Oneworld T7's applied full power right in our faces, it was epic as sh*t
6:42 No boris that´s the freeway, turn right to runway
Lmao
Go-arounds can happen for many reasons: incorrect landing configuration, weather conditions or even just noticing a runway incursion by another plane. Knowing the reputation of JFK airport I bet it was that last one.
2:40 POWERRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!
Crazy for the GE90! If it were a woman I would ask it to marry me
(liked)
you want a whiney/howling bitch?
gangster3591 you would have got a big hole than :)
I would merry a 747; that beauty still wins for fashion, while your 777 wife still wins for efficiency.
Finally TRUE Full 112 N1 Full power!
DJSI3434 thanks!!! It was sure awesome to hear GE900 on such high power!
That wingflex tho
Flexing like a 2 in 1 laptop
@@VoraciousAvgeek lol

oh wow the landing was pretty smooth
Welp, he buttered that second landing. Well done.
Sometimes, I feel lonely keeping secret the effect turbofan spooling up sound have on me -_-
Flaps and spoilers extended!!!!!! VERY PROFESSIONAL
Great comrades
i like how oscar martines from the office is in the commertial. Glad he’s working at kitchen repair
Thanks for the music

Nice landing. Cheers for sharing.
1:20 power with speed brakes (flight spoilers) deployed???? Damn Russians!
carleton morris I’m happy to be alive after flying with Aeroflot. (Although I am Russian lol)
